We just had a fabulous dinner at JP's. This was our second time back - we had the same server (Jenny) who did an awesome job and the other wait staff were also quick and efficient. The food both times has been next level. It is easy to see why reservations are pretty much required to get a table. Highly recommend and we will be back again soon!

JP’s is a fantastic spot with consistently great food and excellent service. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend for a delicious, enjoyable dining experience! I had the blackened salmon with tomatoes, perfectly grilled asparagus, goat cheese and fresh pesto. The portion was generous & price was reasonable. Will definitely be back.

The server was very attentive and nice. The food portions were small and not so flavorful. Price point is not in proportion. They were much better in their former location.

JP’s Bistro in Falmouth, ME is truly a gem and has a special place in my family’s heart. Every visit feels like a treat — the warm atmosphere, friendly service, and consistently delicious food make it one of our all-time favorite spots.

The Italian cuisine here is outstanding. The appetizers are always fresh and flavorful, the entrees are perfectly prepared, and the daily specials never disappoint — in fact, they’re often the highlight of the meal! And of course, we can never leave without indulging in one of their amazing desserts, which are the perfect way to end a great evening.

The staff is always welcoming and attentive, adding to the charm of what feels like a true neighborhood favorite. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a special family occasion, JP’s Bistro delivers every single time. Highly recommend this restaurant — it’s everything you could want in a local Italian bistro!

Insider tip… the server Erika is the most rude, and obnoxious server I’ve ever met. Doesn’t know the first thing about customer service or how to be polite. The kitchen has to run their dishes because the dishwasher they have is old, lazy, and cranky as ever, don’t get a grill item, it’s likely been dropped on the greasy, nasty mats that slosh everywhere nightly, or burned, or nibbled off by the grill, whatever he is. He’s no master that’s for sure. Risotto is so good. Sautée kills it every night.

Love the service. Cute inside and nice outdoor area. The food however has been subpar the 2 times we have tried. Gave the second try just in case.
Meatballs taste frozen, not homeade taste or texture. Mussels broth was very salty and the other apps were just ok.
Would not eat here again. Over rated for the cost unfortunately.
Also, despise the fact that you need a reservation to sit at the bar, that's not what a bar is for.

Outstanding scallop and crab dish that was perfectly prepared! Delicious sauteed, seasoned veggies and a tasty
rice pilaf. Attentive waitress who was busy yet organized. Will definitely come again. I looked at what others were having and there were some pretty amazing looking pasta dishes.

Incredible as always! I've visited JPs a few times over the years going back to when they were off Brighton Ave. Im honestly so picky about restaurants because I struggle to find places these days that are worth the money. JPs is the best. I had the scallops josephine, a cup of haddock chowder and shared a slice of coconut cream pie for desert. Every single thing wowed me with the flavor. Server was friendly and attended to our every whim. Thanks so much. Can't wait to return

Also want to mention I saw a gluten free option on the menu tonight and a kods menu too. Awesome!

I’ve always enjoyed dining at JP’s—the food is consistently good and the atmosphere is welcoming. However, now that I’ve discovered a gluten sensitivity, my recent visit was a bit disappointing.

I asked if my favorite dish, the baked haddock with crumb topping, could be made gluten free by simply leaving off the crumbs. The waitress kindly checked with the kitchen, but they said they couldn’t make that adjustment. There also weren’t any clearly gluten-free options on the menu aside from pasta, which I don’t eat.

I completely understand that not every kitchen is set up to handle every dietary restriction, but I think a little flexibility—especially for something as simple as omitting breadcrumbs—would really help customers feel seen and supported. I hope JP’s will consider adding more inclusive options or offering small accommodations like this in the future.

I’d love to keep coming back, but I left this visit feeling a bit let down.
