First-time visit after a youth hockey game. We were seated at a long table that was like a divider between the sports bar area and the dining area, so there was no ambiance whatsoever -- no windows, very dim lighting, and we could hardly see what we were eating. The tavern area has a bar and all four-seat high top tables and wasn't an option with two kids. Rivalries has always been one of my favorite spots, especially in the summertime. Whether I’m hanging out on the deck, stopping by for lunch, or watching a Boston sports game with friends, it’s always a great time. The food may be classic pub style, but it’s pub style on steroids—I’ve never had a bad meal here.

We are from out of town and stopped in for a quick lunch. Probably had the best double hamburger and truffle fries I've ever experienced. The waitress was extremely friendly, we had an excellent meal.
