Good ice cream, nice employees, insane and insulting prices. Almost $8 for a small cup with no cone or toppings. Unaffordable for most Maine families. Avoid this tourist trap and get a pint at Hannaford.

There are so many great family-owned ice cream stands and cafes with homemade ice cream or famous Maine-made ice cream in my neck of the Maine woods (and seashore) that a chain normally pales in comparison, but Ben & Jerry's is good anywhere. I got their Coffee, Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz (creative name) and added chocolate sprinkles to it because Ben & Jerry's has the best chocolate sprinkles ever.

The female staff member chatting with her two friends at the window could use less profanity, especially when young children are present. This occurred on June 28th around 7 pm. I am sure this is not the environment Ben & Jerry’s or L.L. Bean, Inc. wants to create for customers.
Was on vacation in Maine. Wife wanted to bring the kids because we were at LL Bean and she was nostalgic for the previous times we'd gotten ice cream there. My advice: Get a paper receipt and look it over closely. I opted for an email receipt and when I opened it at home, I noticed I was seriously overcharged. The difference between one scoop and three (which no one in my family ordered) adds up quickly. I don't care about nostalgia and not only will never eat there again, I'm going to avoid my local Ben and Jerry's. Ice cream is ok, but not worth what I ended up paying. I recognize it was my mistake for not getting a paper receipt, but that doesn't absolve them.

they did take away some flavors we use to love to get years ago but it was still good and the kids loved it!

The ice cream cone I got, salt carmel blonie, was delicious! The staff was friendly, helpful & ready to help my friend & I. He provided quick service with a smile. Even though I only got a kiddie size cone ( one scoop) is was enough to satisfy my ice cream craving. The flavor was spot on! We go again the next time I'm in Freeport, Maine.
