Cons: Booked a pet friendly room, should be noted that all pet friendly rooms are in what would have been considered the servants quarters and not in the main building. Room was small and cramped with too much furniture in need of refinishing. The bathroom fan was so loud that it gave me a headache. Tried to take a nice relaxing bath in the jetted tub and the water was brown. The overpowering smell of air fresheners in this outbuilding and through the room was unpleasant, rather than clean they just cover up pet smells with air fresheners. This hotel is not worth the money they are charging. Paid over $350 US this is a $150/night room at best. Also because we are Canadian the room ended up costing over $500. (yes I know this is not the inn's fault but wanted to note that if they want more canadian tourists then the price should reflect the experience) Free breakfast was a continental breakfast which was not stated anywhere when I booked the room. Unripened fruit, dried pastries and cereal is not what I would consider a good breakfast. According to other posts they used to include a hot breakfast. They got rid of the tavern which was one of highlights of the inn. The new restaurant is nice but the tavern was a staple, one of our go-to places to have a drink after a day of shopping. Pros: The staff did try to help with the room by trying to put us in a room in the main hotel but the room was light carpeted and would not work with a black dog that sheds. The grounds were lovely. All the flowers and plants were well taken care of. A gentleman was out cleaning up trash first thing in the morning. The community fire pit is a nice touch and you can get s'more fixings at the front desk. Lots of parking for the hotel. Very close to all the amenities which was one of the reasons I booked the hotel.
The Grinch who stole Sparkle Weekend...Harraseeket Inn. Booked our stay months ago along with paying a deposit. Drive 3 hrs to get there only to find out they gave our suite away to someone else without even a courtesy call, email nor text to let us know. NEVER again will we book nor stay at Harraseeket!! Not only did they ruin our getaway - we were so disgusted, we did not care to participate in any Sparkle weekend activities. The local Freeport businesses can thank Harrakeeset for the monies they lost from our intended shopping/supporting. SO DISAPPOINTED IN HARRASEEKET!

My company Hager Photography had the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding reception here at The Harraseeket Inn this summer and it was AMAZING. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a true New England wedding experience. The Harraseeket Inn is such a unique venue! It's a great space and a great location! You can't go wrong booking your wedding here.
What used to be the watering hole for Freeport has sadly been executed by the corporate greed. Bat was the cornerstone of the harraseeket this little tavern brought people from all over but due to corporate greed and lack of GOOD maintenance it is now nothing. Sadly if this is an indication of how GIRI is going to not change anything and make things better look out the main hotel will probably become a motel six
I would like to review the new restaurant located at this inn - the porter kitchen+bar. It was average and overpriced from our experience. Do not recommend.
The broad arrow tavern is closed and Google has not been updated correctly yet (neither has the large signage outside the inn.)
Need to update their website that it’s temporary closed!

Delicious, pleasant atmosphere and nice service. Would look forward to a weekend visit in Scarborough, just from a taste of the area in this gem.

Apparently there are new owners. They got rid of the pizza which is a shame. We decided to try other menu items, including blackened fish tacos. We had to send them back, they were that bad. It was like fish stew inside a taco - mushed up little pieces of fish in some overly seasoned sauce/broth. We miss the old food!

Such a disappointment. Lovely space and great service. Sadly when we ordered a ribeye and a filet mignon we were served what appeared to be sliced flank steak. Food is definitively not what is advertised.

We sat outside and it took almost 20 minutes for someone to take our order. When they did though, our server was very fast and the food came out quickly.

Sat outside for a bit before our waiter came out. He apologized, and said that they were short staff. He got our drinks and meals in fast and we enjoyed our meal. The seafood pasta was great and sauce was light and tasty. Fish and chips was a hit as well.

My reservation was at 7 I waiting for 15 minutes after I got there as I watched 3 families all with reservations walk out after not being seated. Once I was finally seated we ordered after 20 minutes. As if the time this review is being written I still have not received my meal.
