Have been Twice, and we absolutely love this cafe!amazing food! Another plus side, the workers look so happy and are so kind, not a long wait time on food and great portions I mean I have never seen a haddock burger as big as the one we were served 🩷 always leave like we just had a thanksgiving feast that warm full and cozy type of feeling 🩷 I had the avocado bacon/cheddar chicken burger very good HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CLAM CHOWDAH BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!

In the cold months can be a bit chilly on the outer seating room due to the door opening and closing. They do have a basket of blankets available to keep you warm while you dine.

10/10 every time. Friendly staff, fast service. Even if there's a short wait, I'm seated, served, and satisfied in less than an hour. Top tier breakfast and lunch, warm welcoming environment.

The Freeport Cafe is a classic. I meet up with traveling relatives there and we enjoy a wonderful relaxed lunch. My favorite: a BLT on whole wheat toast and a side of cottage cheese. The service is great. We feel well attended, but never rushed.

We had the most wonderful experience and waiter, Sam, when cousins met for the first time in over 50 years! He understood our joy and excitement and insisted that we not rush. The breakfast we had was delicious! I hadn’t had biscuits and gravy here in Maine that rivaled Lenny’s in Tampa Bay until I came to Freeport Cafe! My cousins loved their meals as well…..but, it was because of Sam that we had the memorable experience that we did!

Unbelievable! We are staying locally and looking for a real diner experience and a good breakfast on a Saturday morning. This place did not disappoint, everything was excellent, the bacon, the ham, the potatoes, the bread, the service, etc! We waited, but it was worth every waiting minute. Wish I could say we would be back, but we probably won’t because we’re from Florida. So great to experience this up here in Maine. Thank you!! ❤️✌🏻

When you get here the line is usually out the door. It could take anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour to get seated. I've been here a few times and I would definitely say it's worth the wait. The waiters/ waitresses are friendly and the food options good. In a world of overpriced food and shrinking proportions, this place is definitely bucking the trend. The line of people out the door, waiting to get in is proof to that.
