Awesome experience at the Freeport Oyster Bar tonight! The bar tender, Sarah, was great at making sure we had everything we needed. We tried a bunch of the “Share” items. The menu was well curated from local vendors and we had a ton of fun with this menu. Get a bunch of oysters, drink some local beer, and eat local food! We will be back!

I came here for lunch during a recent stay in Freeport. Loved the oysters, of course - even took a photo of the day's selection to recommend to others. I had the charcuterie board, which was great for a light lunch and a great way to sample some ultra-local options. It was on the quiet side when I arrived at the start of lunch service but picked up as I was leaving and is clearly a very popular spot.

Best oysters ever! We also had the crab roll and it was delicious, after eating the oysters here we get spoiled every time we eat in any other place. Waitress was really attentive and nice ?

I've been to Freeport plenty of times but have never stopped in here before! I'm from the area, but had a few friends visiting from out of town and they insisted that we find somewhere to get some chowder. The restaurant is very cozy (not too many tables for indoor seating), but luckily we didn't have to wait long as a party was leaving just as we arrived. The service was very quick and the waitress was attentive to our table. I ordered the Winter Kale Salad, which was really fresh and delicious! I wasn't too hungry so this was perfect. My brother ordered the grilled cheese, and my friends ordered the clam chowder. All of it arrived warm and was perfect for a chilly day. I will definitely be going again next time I'm in Freeport and will recommend to anyone visiting!

Odd place with lots of staff, slow service and a very small menu. We had hoped to have dinner here but only stayed for oysters. The oysters were great and expertly shucked (an art!) but they were out of lobster (on a weekend, in Maine..go figure?) so we left and had dinner elsewhere in Freeport. Might be a summer place…. If they stay in business.

Just popped in for a quick bite and a beer and had a terrific time. Staff is super friendly and the oysters were as good as they get, incredibly fresh and so delicious. We come from a place that has to ship in oysters so we really appreciate when they are good and WOW! AMAZING! 5 stars across the board will be back before we leave ME.

Life changing meal! Came here hating oysters and left in love with Madeline Point Oysters! Also best lobster roll of my life. Great service. I’ll drive the 6 hours from my house and back again!! So glad my original spot was closed fit the season so I could locate this gem!!!

Walked into the Freeport Oyster bar while on vacation and sat at the bar because the restaurant was full. Was immediately greeted by someone who made us feel welcome!!We were waited on by Andre who was the bartender. He had recommendations that were phenomenal!! The oysters (Madeleine Point) were “melt in your mouth” and the margaritas were top notch!! We loved the food and drinks and the atmosphere and the people so much we came back a second night for the same experience and were not disappointed! Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Thank you Andre for 5 star service!!
