Best place ever. Best fried clams in Maine. We were in earlier, they closed early but they told is to stay and and enjoy - we love this place.

Magical, quintessential Maine spot. Cozy, delicious and reasonably priced food, nice people (thank you to the staff member who ran my waterbottle out to me that I left behind!). So much fun to have a bite here.

This was a beautiful spot with extremely friendly service and plenty of tables to enjoy the view. I ordered the fried clams and shrimp combo basket. Unfortunately I became violently ill a few hours after eating.

Excellent lobster (couldn't ask for fresher, as you can see by the photo of lady whisking them out of the water); very good clams; good prices. We arrived a little earlier than the crowd for lunch,so only waited about 20 minutes. You couldn't ask for a more perfect location, looking out on the river as you munch on your perfect lunch!!

Considering I had to wait 30 minutes from my food, you would think it would’ve been prepared correctly. I had a combo with scallops and Whole belly clams. They were so overcooked you couldn’t chew them. The scallops were like erasers and the clams were like rubber bands. They need to change the oil because the onion rings were soggy and dripping with old oil.
Plus, I brought back chocolate cream pie for a relative and it’s basically boxed chocolate pudding In a crust Topped with fake whip Topping. That went in the trash also. I think restaurant should label if they’re not using real fresh ingredients. Disgusting. Perhaps we should’ve asked, but we presumed that since it was a local place and the line was so long that they were using real ingredients. It was like cheap diner food like at a roadside truckstop
I wasted 60 bucks Plus the tip

If you're looking for an authentic Maine experience having lobster or clams this would be my first choice. Their lobster rolls are made just right and the whole belly fried clams were delicious. If it's warm enough, they have outside seeting with picnic tables.

Best seafood place in freeport and one of the best in Maine. Atmosphere is low because of limited seating. But nothing terrible. Completely overshadowed by the incredible food. Lobster role and whole belly clams are my family favorites. They are awesome. Make sure you give this place a try. They dont serve beer so stop at maine brewery on your way to the restaurant and grab a couple beers to go with your meal. Enjoy
