tasty gluten free seafood!!!
I was there over Columbus Day weekend. I ordered fried scallops. I don't believe they were real scallops but the "scallop medallions" they barely tasted like anything and the texture was rubbery and stringy. So I actually bought some scallop medallions today at a grocery store and they were the same taste and texture. It's OK that you serve them but be honest on the menu and price accordingly. They are half price of regular scallops. I also have worked in the high end food service field for 40 years. You can't fool me!! The years that I have eaten there before, it was the real deal and delicious.

Upstairs table service was great. Husband had the Lobster Roll, and I had the fried Haddock (made with GF breading!). Both were excellent. We both drank the Freedom’s Edge Cider on tap, which is really good.

Lobster roll is delicious. Chicken sandwich also strong. We have been going here for years as we travel through Freeport and stop everytime. We really like the pretzels (not on menu) and there seafood dishes. Great patio for eating and catching up with friends or planning your next adventure. Highly recommend.

The lobster bisque is crazy good. It has a bit of heat and the creamy soup and lobster bits are so tasty. High praise for the lobster rolls and haddock.
The service staff was very friendly and helpful to the out of state visitor.

Cute unassuming restaurant. Great lobster roll - all knuckle and claw on a fresh toasted and buttered bun! The way it ought to be!
Hubby had Red Hotdogs the Maine way.
Service was helpful and on point. Highly recommend!

Pretty good lobster roll. Would rather have hot / butter poached, but still one of the better in Freeport. Unpretentious.

Amazing lobster roll, great value for steamed lobster, and that BBQ burger is a HIT!
We were surprised at how good of a value and taste this place was! It wasn't a fancy full service seafood restaurant on the first floor, but it has everything we wanted: quick order counter, great food, great portion, acceptable, clean bathroom, and good AC in the summer.
Would totally come again if we are in Freeport again.

I am sorry, a $30 lobster roll should be more than 2 claw ends and a few pieces. I don't know if they ran out of lobster today, but this was not acceptable.

It’s OK. Went for lunch yesterday for 2. We each ordered a scallop basket at $29 each. We each got 6 scallops, 3 smaller and 3 larger ones. My 3 larger scallops were a little overcooked, the smaller ones were cooked well. Tasted fresh and sweet, but a small portion; 12 scallops for $58 plus tax plus a tip, and this was for the basket, not the roll. The fries were very good though, and a good size.
Waiter was OK, to be honest the service was pretty slow when it wasn’t busy, he didn’t say much. Atmosphere was a little odd, Maine and coastal themed but also sports themed, however to be fair that is how it’s advertised.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. We should have checked the reviews. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The chowder was tasty. The lobster roll compared to several others in Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor and down on Cape Cod had a nice toasted bun but a skimpy portion of lobster for the price. The coleslaw was overpriced for a souffle cup portion and wasn't tasty. In hind sight it felt like classy tourist trap.
