We were here last year, and we weren't going to pass up another visit while we were in the area again. This was the perfect stop after hiking. The custard is so rich and flavorful. It was worth the wait in line. Staffer Evelyn was the only worker on duty and she did a masterful job, efficiently serving copious amounts of correct orders. I got Banana, Blueberry, and Strawberry in a waffle cone, while my wife got three other flavors in a cup. SO flavorful. There is a German beer garden eatery just behind and to the side and custard eaters used their picnic tables to sit at. There is also a covered porch, and restrooms. Parking may be scarce at peak times. located south of Freeport center on Route 1. Don't pass this custard up! The eggs make the difference. Once scoop $6, two $7, three $8, a pint $9.75. They also offer traditional ice cream dishes and drinks, but made with custard. Take some home. We will definitely be back.

Custard is great, food out back is absolutely atrocious. $5 for a cold hot dog, $4 for a pretzel so dry I almost choked to death. Will be back for the custard only!

Order what you want but just know they don't change their scoops! I ordered coffee like I do EVERY TIME! Taste was off, I told the person working it wasn't right. They tried it and said it does taste a bit fruity. Knowing they sell Chocolate raspberry swirl, they didn't offer my money back I HAD to choice something else. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I'm good on your fluff white custard.🤦♀️ Purely disappointed

Literally the best dairy-free ice cream I've ever had. I got the sundae with pecans and chocolate fudge. Forgot the flavor but I recalled it was caramelly and very creamy.
If you're ever in the area, this is a must-try. 10/10 highly recommend.

Anything you order is excellent, it's just a shame it has to close in winter. We go every year. Now in 2025 we went back. Still excellent but now, I felt, very expensive. Single cone. W/sprinkles and a small hit fudge sundae $16.50 Maybe I just don't understand today's market.
