This might be the only true 5 stars I've given.

The food is F-ING amazing!
GET A PASTEL.
I found this place a few days ago and I've been literally every day since.
They're soup the Coxinha was also delicious (slightly small portion) but the pastel was so full and delicious it made up for it!
GET THE spicy tomato dipping sauce for +$1.

I also tried their weekly special "payday Latte" and it was worlds better than anything I've ever had at Starbucks (I like starbucks).

Parking: Super easy to navigate lot.
Free street parking out front.

Kid-friendliness: This is an adult coffee & delicious food shop.
However I saw a child and the staff was friendly to&with them. It's just not geared towards kids and that's another value add to me.

Iaiá has become one of our favorite weekend breakfast and lunch spots! We are so happy to see Brazilian food being offered in southern Maine and love their breakfast sandwiches, pastels, and açaí!!

I would like to express my disappointment with the customer service experience my employees and I encountered during our recent visit at this restaurant. As a regular patron who has frequented this establishment for employee lunches, the lack of professionalism and customer service we experienced was truly disheartening.

During our most recent visit, we placed a substantial order totaling over $100, including pastels, drinks, and coxinhas. Unfortunately, upon the arrival of our order, it became apparent that one of my employees did not receive the food he had ordered. When I brought this to the attention of our server, who happened to be the owner's daughter, her response was not only dismissive but argumentative. Despite my attempts to resolve the situation amicably, the server's demeanor only escalated the tension.

Regrettably, the situation took a turn for the worse when the owner intervened and exacerbated the conflict rather than working towards a resolution. A simple acknowledgment of the error and a proactive effort to rectify the missing food item promptly would have sufficed. As someone who understands the nuances of the food industry, I was surprised by the lack of customer-centric approach and basic service recovery principles demonstrated by the staff.

In a scenario where a customer's order is incomplete, it is customary for establishments to prioritize addressing the issue swiftly and ensuring customer satisfaction. A simple gesture of acknowledging the oversight and offering to promptly prepare the missing item would have gone a long way in mitigating the dissatisfaction we experienced.

As a loyal customer, I believe in providing constructive feedback to help businesses improve their service standards. I trust that this incident does not reflect the usual standard of service at your establishment and I hope that steps will be taken to address the lapses in customer service we encountered.

My trip to Maine has been a gastronomic success! Kaia Brazil is yet another wonderful find. We missed the breakfast sandwiches as it was after 11am. We tried pan de quiejo, bean soup, multiple pasteles and coffee. Everything was fresh and expertly made. Be aware that this shop closes early at 2pm most days. Highly recommend!

Cute, cozy cafe with delicious smoothies, soups, and Brazilian snacks like coxinha, pao de queijo and brigadeiro. A must visit if you are in the area!

I from Brazil and I love coxinha cheese bread (PAO DE QUEIJO) I wish there was a little more seasoning in the savory snacks. And the girl at the reception was super kind to me but I found her a little slow compared to other customers. I got there and had to wait my turn to place my orders. There were only 3 people in front of me.

Just stumbled on a gem. Iaia is in downtown Gorham, next to Carter’s auto. They have delicious Brazilian food and friendly people. They were helpful working around my allergy! The iced mocha was great. The egg and cheese pastel was flaky and melty. The cilantro sauce had layered flavor. A Tropical Sunrise smoothie to go was the perfect mix of flavors. And the clouds were a special treat. It isn’t often I write a review about food. I’m much more focused on service. But this food is sooo good. You have to try it. And the service was stellar.

What a wonderful addition to Gorham! Very nicely done inside decor. The coffee and drinks are varied, interesting, and excellent. The food offerings follow the same path....interesting, different, and very tasty. It is very much worth taking time to visit, and enjoy. Don't forget the comfortable inside seating.

Everything is always perfect. As a Brazilian, passionate about our food and culture, It’s a no-brainer. Iaiá is my absolute favorite place to go. My husband became a big pastel fan because of them! My favorite is the coxinha and the canja is the perfect soup that tastes like home. Staff, food, decor, music, everything has love and care poured into it. The only “”””problem””” is they’re not open 24hrs! Haha just kidding. ❤️❤️❤️
