Right off the water with gorgeous views in Gouldsboro, ME. We vacationed for a week in Maine and enjoyed visiting many of the small coastal towns. The fresh blueberry pie was delicious BUT the seafood is unbelievable. Lobster, oysters, shrimp, and scallops were 5 star with everyone agreeing it was the best seafood any of us ever had. A MUST DO UP THE COASTLINE !!
Stumbled on Bunker’s after a hike on the Schoodic portion of Acadia National Park. What a great find! Bright, comfortable dining room and exceptional food. I had the clam roll - super fresh clams in a light, well seasoned batter - on a butter grilled roll - heaven! Upgraded to onion rings - just do it - they were even better than the delicious clam roll. Very tasty Cole slaw and (I would bet) homemade tartar sauce rounded out an absolutely perfect meal. Food was fine, but for being right on the coast it wasn't anything special. It's not like we were in Bar Harbor so paying premium money for average food in an average setting didn't do a lot for me. Ordered two large salads for my family to start with and definitely thought because they came in small bowls that there had been a miscommunication. Was assured that these were the large salads... Would shop around for another place to eat next time.
