The only thing I could say is … DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! This will be the last time we go … Horrible service-staff and the building has gone to ….
We’ve been loyal customers of Kimberly's at the Marina for years and have always enjoyed coming here — but after our last two visits, we will absolutely not be returning. A few weeks ago, we came with family and were stunned when the owner walked up to our table and made rude, unprovoked comments about my husband in front of our entire group. It was uncomfortable, humiliating, and completely unprofessional. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance — and we truly regret it. Tonight, we brought 18 people for a special family gathering, with loved ones visiting from Pennsylvania and Thailand. We were seated near a fire pit that wasn’t burning properly and was pushing thick smoke directly onto our group. When my mom politely asked if something could be done, the manager came out, aggressively stoked the fire, made the smoke worse, and was extremely rude to us. Avoid Ashley, she was beyond rude. From there, the night only got worse: • My young daughter was served a completely raw burger — unsafe and unacceptable. • The fries were undercooked and still cold inside. • We ordered four sweet chili chicken mac and cheeses, which are usually a favorite, but they were bland and poorly made — nothing like they used to be. Our soup was cold. • I had just received two brand-new drinks when my 1-year-old slightly bumped the table (due to uneven ground), causing them to spill immediately. When I calmly went inside to let someone know, the hostess actually yelled at me, saying my server would “handle it.” And then I was charged for the spilled drinks. Moments later my cousins daughter spilled a glass of water because of the same issue and the glass completely shattered. The only bright spot of the evening was our server, Horace, who was kind, attentive, and tried his best despite the chaos. He deserves credit. We all loved him! What makes this even more upsetting is that we’ve told everyone — family, friends, our clients, and even our Airbnb guests — about this place year after year. We’ve consistently recommended it as a local favorite. Sadly, we can no longer do that. The service and attitude from management have completely changed, and the food quality has seriously gone downhill. We’re disappointed, embarrassed, and heartbroken that such a special night turned into such a disaster. And let’s talk about the $1,000s spent! We’ll be taking our business — and our recommendations — elsewhere from now on.
Absolutely the worst experience we have ever had on a date night. Food was undercooked, cold and old tasting. Management was no help!
Great food, attentive servers. Management was spot on. Thanks for a great dinner

5 stars all around. This is a hidden gem. Only issue, it isn’t open year round.

The view is great. The price of food is way high, which I typically don’t mind if the quality and quantity are good. Neither is the case here. The scallop/lobster risotto was not terrific , very little of either scallop or lobster. The dessert cakes were dry. Unfortunately we won’t be back.
Happy to have found this gem! Beautiful waterfront view over the Penobscot River. Extensive cocktail menu, appetizers and entrees. We had oysters on the half shell and the seafood combo with scallops and tenderloin clams - both delicious and fresh - with carrot cake for dessert that was perfection. Will definitely be back!

Very mediocre for the price, the $16 Expresso martini was one of the worst I've ever had, the Maine clam basket was portioned for a child with the price of a 60 day dry aged steak, wasn't allowed to sit inside, cool to go maybe.. MAYBE once.

We are former Bangor residents who return for a visit every August. We always plan to celebrate a special occasion at the Marina and went there last night. Sat upstairs and enjoyed the beautiful setting on the banks of the Penobscot. Our waiter, Garrett was wonderful, but our meal was not. I look forward to the Baked Stuffed Haddock - it came and the presentation was perfect, however the haddock was way overcooked and the potatoes were not hot. The stuffing was delicious as always, and the zucchini was tasty. We told our waiter we were not pleased with the meal and should have sent it back - our mistake! He gave us a free dessert to take home, we paid the $118.00 bill and left feeling very disappointed. We will not return there.

The lobster BLT was amazing. I am from Maine and can tell a fresh lobster from one that has been sitting in a tank for a while. this lobster was fresh perfectly cooked with an excellent presentation!
The atmosphere is beautiful and the weight staff was awesome !!
Definitely a great place to seek out!
Dietary restrictions: They did a great job, accommodating my soy and egg allergy. The food is prepared fresh so they were able to leave out the mayo.

Honestly, fantastic, tasty food. But, for 42 dollars, you would think a seafood combo meal would have more than three scallops. They were great, but they were few.
Stopped in for some lobster and had a wonderful experience here. Very peaceful environment, indoor and outdoor seating all with a water front view. Food was perfect.

The server we had was very good, attentive and professional. The food not so much. Risotto was horrible, tasted like sticky rice with wine and onion on top. The seafood stuffed haddock was runny and hard to find seafood stuffing. Desert was way way way overpriced…..$14 for a piece of cheesecake that was previously frozen!!!!!! Don’t think we will return. Sorry
