Subway has lost the plot. $20 for one Italian BMT footlong with no extra anything. Just the basic sandwich, $19.99. And just a few weeks ago the same one would have been $9.99 and that’s still overpriced. It’s officially cheaper or the same price to go to a sit down restaurant.

Love subways in general. This one is typical. Handy, and good. It's on rt 1a in Holden, which means TRAFFIC! If you're headed toward Bangor, it's a small prob to cross a line of cars headed toward Ellsworth, in the summer. But that's it. Typical subway.

I will preface this review with this: We have been to this place before and everything was typical subway.. Pretty good. This time, however, the bread was hard (maybe old?), and they were skimpy on the meats. The only Employee working was smoking out front of the store in their car when we drove in.

Great staff who was very polite and made us fantastic sandwiches. Right on the way out of Acadia and plenty of parking. Great location to stop by.

I just placed an order online and it took the money off my card but when I got to the store, 15 minutes before they closed, the whole placed was locked up and not a soul around. Absolutely not impressed at all! And of course there’s no one around to Answer your call and you can’t leave a voicemail! I called the other subway and they told me to call back in the morning when they reopen!

Our sandwiches were okay but my problem was that when I showed her my Military ID for my discount she said "OK", but when I got to my table and looked at the slip, instead of a discount of 10%, she CHARGED me for a TIP of 20%. I would have gone back to complain but she was working alone and there were several customers waiting. I can't remember ever being charged an automatic TIP at a fast food restaurant before. So sad. Will not be eating at this location again.UPDATE: The owner contacted me via a "no reply" email address and said that they have no control over what I entered for a TIP. I would like to clear this up. I did not enter anything. I was told the amount, I waved my Apple Watch over the credit card unit and it was accepted. Again. I did NOT touch the card unit with my hands or a credit card. I did NOT agree to a tip.
