Today marks my 4th and final visit for a long time. I recently moved to Maine and tried hard to find a winery with a restaurant. To my surprise willows awake is 25 minutes from me and I was told it was amazing. We went twice during the warmer months on a week or weekend day. Nothing special. The food is amazing. Our server was outstanding. However, the driveway is a mess. Long, winding driveway through the grape vines is perfect, but with pot holes the size of a small car, we had to drive on the grass in order for our sedan not to bottom out. This week, winter, I went twice. Each time for an event. First, Sunday, it was was unseasonably warm. The driveway was all mud. This time I was smart and took my suv. The driveway was all mud. Off-roading would have been easier. I had mud on the roof. I had to take my car to the car wash it was so bad. On top of that, as I slid in the mud I almost slid into another car. I almost fell multiple times as I slid walking in and out of my car. Sunday was a Galentines event. They kept telling us the bar was backed up as we waited and waited for drinks. The food came out faster. When the food came out the girl spilled a pink drink all over me. My pants covered. Their offer, to make me another drink. Nothing else. No comp, no discount, nothing. Tonight is valentines. We ordered drinks and an app. They came out at what seemed like a normal speed. Then we ordered dinner and a second drink, normal order of events After being there for an hour and 45 minutes we started to ask where things were. The waitress kept saying “the bar and kitchen are backed up” I watched the 1 bar tender make drinks for about a half hour. 1 guy. It took him on average, 2 minutes per drink with the other tasks he was doing, like pulling out the full trash. The restaurant was full. No one was helping him. When we asked for an update on food she said “soon” we asked if she could get and update on how long and she paused and said 10-15 minutes. We had been there for 2 hours. Reservation was at 6. This was now 8pm. Other tables around us were having the same issue. We were all sitting around talking about it and in the final request we were informed their ordering system wasn’t working. It seems events are not something they handle well. I wanted to go to the wine event on March 1st. But I will be canceling that reservation after today. I’m beyond disappointed. I booked this reservation for our fist Valentine’s Day as a married couple and we went home hungry.

First, driving down the driveway, you may have to get new shocks and repair a flat tire on your car. It's one of the worst road I have been on in Maine. It has been like this for atleast the year we have been going.Second we waited an hour and a half for our food and an hour for drinks. Our waitress ended up pouring the wine for my wife becuase the bar was so "backup" the same excuse they used last week. After 2 hours the waitress asked if we wanted anything else, forgetting we had food coming and a simple black coffee for me. We left without getting food after the 2 hour mark, there was no point in waiting any longer. All the tables around us were experiencing the same thing. The service keeps getting worse and worse as we go with time, so this will be our last visit but if you get a chance to get their food it is phenomenal.

I really like this place. They are a nice little winery that has some fun evenings and food is good. Service is friendly and cant beat the atmosphere. Its so nice to have something different that is not just pizzas and burgers...

On 12/29/23, I attended a private party, organized by my daughter and son-in-law. The end of the year 2023 marked their 10th anniversary and I can't imagine a better place to celebrate their love, than WillowsAwake. This is a beautiful venue that offered a good service, friendly atmosphere, and excellent food. I loved everything about it and definitely will visit it next time, I'm in Maine.

Not a venue that is prepared for private events. Music and dancing had to at low volume since restaurant was still in use. People walking through private party. Do not recommend for an indoor venue.

This menu is to die for! I was with a group of 8 guests and was thrilled to have such great service and high quality food. Jacob our bartender & server was phenomenal. Must try's are the cranberry skillet nachos, wings, filet & chicken Picatta! We will be back again and again!!

Our reservation was at 6pm, we did not get our entree until 745pm. Meal arrives and potatoes and brussel sprouts were cold. My steak was just above warm. For the price you pay you'd expect the food to be hot. It was like our food sat around while they got our whole table ready. We had 7!people and the only good comments on any of the food was tbe Caesar salads were food, along with soup, nachos, dessert and drinks. Main entrees for all of us were just blah. Last couple times I have gone it's been somewhat of a disappointment. This will probably be my last time. Plates of food could have used some color. Everything was one note potatoes, steak and brown Brussels sprouts looked very unappealing. As for service we barely saw our waitress. She never once asked us how our food was once we finally received it. Had we not been charged the tip in our bill because of the party size I would not have given a 20% tip.

Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food and cocktails. Our server, Devin, was very happy and responsive. It's kind of loud because of the high ceiling. The road in tho- holy muddy mess! You need a truck or 4-wheel drive. That's my only minus. It was like that at Thanksgiving and last night.

Last year was good, this year even better food. It was relaxed and very enjoyable looking out on dormant vines. We had a bottle of King Red, was very delicious as good or better than Daou Paso Robles, one of my favorite everyday wines.

Food was delicious. Service was great. Very little to offer for dessert. Extremely disappointed. Were out of almost all options. Expect much more from a restaurant at this price point!

As a wedding photographer, I loved Willows Awake Winery as a venue!! It was gorgeous beyond belief, well laid out, and every single backdrop was BEAUTIFUL for photos. The staff were absolutely wonderful and they knew what they were doing. Sarah especially was very professional and attentive! I absolutely can not wait to shoot there again in the future. It is a venue I will photograph again without hesitation!

We have been here several times, and have never been disappointed. It's the highest quality food, beautiful presentation, all in the most lovely setting. We had the opportunity to meet the chef and both he and our staff were the kindest people. The holiday decorations made it stunning. Perfect place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.
