Decided on a whim to come here to celebrate my birthday this past Saturday. I have been stalking their Facebook page for years and decided to come here to try something new and special. Unbelievably, this ended up being the greatest meal I have ever had in my life. Every single item and drink was the best version of it I have ever had. The texture of the poutine was incredible, the pave potatos combined with the veal demi-glace was wildly good giving it a savory glaze. I had the duck for my meal and it was well worth the $50. The meat was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and packed with flavor, paired perfectly by the black trumpet mushrooms. Topped off everything with the incredible Bubblegum Mochi Pavlova. A showering of different fruity bursts of flavor and texture. From the Jackfruit mochi, to the delicious sesame praline, mango curd, and kiwi. Literally changed the way how I look at food, I can't stop thinking about it.

The food and service at Flux were great. I loved the Asia twist at your everyday comfort foods. Cocktails were good, they had a great wine list. The atmosphere was ok, I didn’t understand the decoration and we were sat at a table near the kitchen entrance with fluorescent light so it threw us off for like 30 mins but then we got used to it.

When I say I have never had a salad like the Tide Line and Beet Salad from their specials menu, I am not exaggerating. I have traveled 48 of the 50 states, and 11 other countries (go ahead and follow me for proof)- and this is a salad for the gods, it's that divine. I also had a sour beer on tap, and the Pasta Carbonara, with the mango coconut cheesecake as dessert. The salad outshined it all- I cannot stress this enough. All the food was EXCEPTIONAL- the tide line and beet salad was on a whole different playing field. Flux deserves and will surely be earning awards shortly!

Took a trip to Maine for the sites and fresh lobster. Coming from a land locked state, fresh lobster is hard to come by. I traveled all along the coast line and ate at a lot of places but Lux was hands down the best of my trip so far. The food was AMAZING, so fresh and flavorful! It was served so beautifully like an edible work of art. The topper to it all was the service…impeccable! I had the pleasure of speaking with the Chef and his wonderful wife, and was blessed enough to leave with more than the memory of the delicious meal. Thank you Marissa and Jason.

Time to edit my 5 year old review: So in 5 years since I gave it 5*s, I wish I could give more. How this restaurant is not nationally recognized is beyond me. I travel a lot for my career and have the privilege of eating at some phenomenal restaurants across the country. Flux makes every top 3 list I could come up with. If you haven't eaten here, you are missing out.

Our first time at Flux was 5 Star across the board. We went out for my birthday celebration dinner. Right off the bat I was disappointed in the menu. 3 fish dishes, a burger, a chicken sandwich, one vegan option, and steak friets. Disappointing to say the least. I ordered the steak medium well. It came out very rare so I sent it back. The second time it came out rare again. We loved our first time and I will give Flux another try when the menu changes, but this birthday celebration was not what it should have been.

Really creative and delicious food! I found most of their menu to be gluten free and they even have a separate frier for gluten free needs. Worth every penny!

While I would like to give it a five star rating because of the elegent food, I can't. It was so noisy only Parris Island drill instructors could carry on a normal conversation. The two couples at the adjoining table obviously are used to dining on the deck of an aircraft carrier during flight operations or dining at Who concerts.
The restaurant was packed and our waitress had too many tables. The menu mentioned limiting the stay to 2 hours or less. We took our desserts to go and barely got out in under 2 hours.
Finally, I found the 3% kitchen staff wage surcharge to be insulting. Raise the prices a bit and pay the kitchen staff better directly.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flux Restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! The food and drinks were phenomenal, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch, the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The vibe of the restaurant was also pretty cool, and is an ideal spot for any occasion. Overall, Flux Restaurant was a great place and I'll definitely be coming back!
