interesting choice by the chef to put a white BBQ sauce on the brisket by default. never seen it done like this before. not advertised as such on the menu, if it was I would've asked for it without. the only smoked meat that should need sauce are dry ones, so I guess the chef was trying to help us out? I wasn't a fan. beer was delicious though! Portland is 5 stars, this place, not so much.

Excellent food, excellent brews! The staff were wonderful, the food was incredible- i have dietary restrictions and was so so impressed with their (almost) vegan options available, the tamale fritter sandwich and succotash with wojapi are delicious! when i travel i am used to boring veggie burgers, these options were nourishing and inspiring. also shocked that dogs are allowed indoors (the kitchen is in a separate building) our dog was so happy to join us. The beer options were delicious, and the staff was friendly. highly recommend stopping here!

Had a great dinner yet again!! The chicken sandwich and burger we had were so tasty. Everything we’ve ever had has been delicious. Dinners, lunch and Sunday brunch as well. Chef Joe always does an amazing job. The staff behind the bar are also great. Brittany is fantastic! She remembers people, she is always friendly and upbeat. She also has a fantastic knowledge of all the beers and can help recommend something that will be to your taste. Highly recommend a visit.

Big ups to Bissell’s kitchen! I ordered the meatloaf and it was phenomenal. It felt like eating a home made meal, the flavors were on point, and I enjoyed the presentation - all for a reasonable price! My compliments to the chef! Substance is one of my favorite beers and enjoying it with tasty food is a real treat!
I've been here once when I was supporting my partner in a century bike run a few years back since it was held in Millinocket. Simply outstanding. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome. Think Bissell Brothers in the early days in the industrial park area in Portland when they were serving it out of their garage. LOL except for this place actually has a lot of comfy seats and has a big cabin type of feel. Rustic and laid-back. The beer is always perfect and the atmosphere is always just right as well. I can't wait to go back and try their food. I hear their chef just got nominated for a James Beard award this year. Congrats! I wouldn't expect anything less, considering how amazing the food is at the Portland Bissell Brothers. Keep up the great work, BB. I've been a fan from the beginning.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We’ve enjoyed Bissell Brothers beer and offered it to our guests for a while now here at the Brewster Inn in Dexter. We were recently lucky enough to attend their open house in Milo and were very impressed.From the amazing beer selection which all tasted great to their fantastic staff and the delicious food options, it was just a really wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return.Several of our B and B guests have visited and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They thanked us for the recommendation and said they planned to visit again as well.Great job everyone Bissell Brothers at Milo. Highly highly recommended.
