We were camping at Sebago Lake State Campground and discovered Dose as our special treat away from the campsite… so good, we ended up visiting twice during our trip! Both times, we were met with a warm greeting and consistently great service.

The staff was incredibly patient and kind, even when my two kids changed their orders halfway through. The muffins were tasty, and we especially appreciated that they offered bagels on the weekend. While they didn’t have butter, they quickly offered peanut butter as a substitute, which was a thoughtful solution.

The real star was the caramel lattes! Delicious every time. My son also enjoyed their smoothies. We also loved the relaxed sitting area, which made for a comfortable spot to hang out.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a cozy, family-friendly coffee stop!

Great coffee every time. I wish they were open all year because there are very few coffee options that are good around here.

5 stars, but it’s complicated.

I really do love Dose. The staff is always friendly, the vibe is great, and the drinks and food are genuinely awesome. But it’s kind of a love-hate relationship at this point.

We first stumbled upon Dose last year while driving along the Causeway, and it instantly became a family favorite. My fiancée and kids fell in love with the Flamingo smoothie, Bali Bowl, and Kids Coffee! We’d stop by often—my kids even started calling it “the kids coffee place” because of their cute little drinks.

But then… the Flamingo disappeared.

It started late last summer. We’d go in and be told it was out of stock. Fair enough—we figured it was popular. But it’s now 2025, and it still hasn’t made a comeback. The other day, I stopped by and found out they were out of both the Flamingo and a few other key smoothies. And this isn’t a one-time thing. Sometimes they’re out of sourdough bagels entirely. Even grabbing a smoothie feels like playing menu roulette—what’ll they have today?

I want to be a regular. I try to be a regular. But it’s hard to keep showing up when I can’t count on the items being there. Listen, listen, I know. Who am I to expect or demand anything from a cute little smoothie shop? I still love the place, I just want to love it MORE.

THIS morning I went in to grab a few bagels—they were out. My fiancée sent me back in for a Bali Bowl—also out (they told me they're waiting for a shipment, which is fair. Credit where credit is due). I didn’t even bother asking about the Flamingo.

All that said: go visit Dose. They are great. And if you happen to walk in on a day when they do have the Flamingo? Order it fast—there’s no telling if it’ll be there tomorrow.

Every time we go in, even if they're out of items, we still buy coffee (the best!). But seriously… if the Flamingo’s never coming back, please just take it off the menu. My heart can’t take the rollercoaster anymore 💔

Hostess Haley was super helpful! We had not been to a restaurant that was no cash no tip before. Food was delicious, drinks and food came out quickly and it was a great experience!

Employee here! Being both a customer here and employee has given the opportunity to see both sides of the business. I just want to say how absolutely amazing the owners are, they are very kind and considerate of their employees. They share genuine care and kindness, making employees feel like family. And as for being a customer, the drinks are delicious with all of the fun combinations and recipes made. Prices are a little up there, but totally reasonable and for sure worth the quality of drinks and food. Smoothies are bomb as well, for sure a favorite of mine. Absolutely love working here, and love the friendly faces I've met along the way. Well worth your time and money!

The online and ordering system was cumbersome. We were a large party. 2 people's order did not go through. By the time this was confirmed everyone else had got their food. People of our age want a paper menu and to be waited on by a server. Suggest this restaurant review their current process for customer satisfaction.

We ordered a second side with our dinners, Cole slaw. We received a tiny paper bowl and were charged $6 each, ridiculous. $12 for 2? Insane. Otherwise good experience. Darcy is a keeper!

Very good experience at dose coffee. The two people who were serving were creative, welcoming and very nice to talk to. Drinks were good but the service made it even better!

I have been coming to this place a few times in the last week and it has been decent until today. First I tried ordering a plain bagel w veggie cream cheese but they ran out. Then I tried everything bagel and they were out of those too. The only thing saving this review from 1 star is this veggie cream cheese. I resorted to the blueberry bagel with veggie cream cheese only to be told 5 minutes later while I was waiting, that the veggie cream cheese is still frozen. They were open for over a half hour yet it was frozen and didn’t wait to tell me until after I had paid the $6. I ended up getting the blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and it was mushy dough. My friends had gotten straight milk after ordering and paying for a $7 chai latte. You couldn’t see or taste the chai and when they asked to add more chai the girl making the drinks responded with a defensive and snappy tone. Communication behind the counter is clearly lacking and these mistakes could have been easily prevented if they were more organized. There is a lot of potential in this town for a successful coffee shop so I do hope they figure out these issues.

My visits to this place have been consistently disappointing due to poor service and misleading actions. The cashier is consistently awkward and makes ordering an uncomfortable experience. What's worse is their habit of accepting payment before informing customers that key ingredients are unavailable. I ordered a latte with a specific milk, paid for it, only to be told afterward that they couldn't use that milk. Why not disclose this beforehand? To make things worse, when I ordered a chai tea latte with whole milk, it arrived as a cup of milk with barely a hint of chai. When I politely asked for more chai, I was met with a dismissive response claiming that milk overpowers chai, which simply isn't true. It was clear they were more interested in saving face than admitting fault. If you value transparency and quality in your coffee experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this place until they improve their customer service and communication."
