This is the nicest upscale restaurant in our area. The food is superb as is the service. Entertainment is always enjoyable. The owner is hands on and very pleasant. Their meats are melt in your mouth delicious. Great drinks and wonderful desserts.

We went to get a quick bite. We ordered a Ruben Sandwich and Bangers and Mash. The food never arrived. We left after waiting over an hour for the food to show up. The only reason we are giving 2 stars is because the waitress was nice and kept checking on us and apologizing for the slowness of the kitchen.

A taste of Ireland tucked in the lakes region of Maine. Great people, excellent food, wonderful music, and of course lovely pours of Guinness. Slainte!

We have vacationed in the area as a family for many years. When we discovered Black Bear Cafe, it solved the puzzle of how to please everyone's tastes. Two all time favorites are the Shepherds Pie and Fish and Chips. The burgers are also. very good.My husband and I happily discovered that the restaurant is alive and well in August 2021-- when Covid19 is still a very real concern. Food was good to very good, Guinness was well poured and the wine selection is well priced. We shared a nice bottle of Cigar Box Malbec. And yet...Our observations: we both noted that the hosts and staff were not wearing masks. Some of the diners wore masks while entering or moving around the building.)The live music corner is close to a number of tables. However, renovations have created many nice booths. Our waitress was nice but she seemed to pay more attention to other tables. She brought the check without further attention "Everything ok? Would you like anything else? We have two house made desserts...we only have five minutes left."For the record, we got one dessert to go.The latest mask statement this summer by order of Governor Mills: advised for public interior spaces.

Food was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Frank Ryan played and sang wonderful selection of music that engaged the patrons. A must stop if in the area!

Very pricey for not even a mediocre meal, not worth the stop. Better off visiting other establishments in Casco and Naples that offer a high quality meal and care what is on their customers plate.

We randomly found the Black Bear cafe when we were driving from Naples back to Windham while on vacation. It was the perfect spot to bring our 16 month old! First all the staff we met were extremely nice and helpful! The food was excellent and highly recommend the fish and chips!! The best part was the musician they had that night. We were sitting at table right next to the set up. He talked to us the whole time and even sang our son his favorite song... Old Macdonald. It was one of our favorite parts of our Maine vacation!

Been coming to the lake area for over 40 years. One of our favorite spots was closed unexpectedly. So we tried this! Glad we did. Hidden gem! Decor awesome. The have live Irish music Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The service was excellent! A real caring place. The beer was cold and excellent! My wife had 2 cocktails both very good. I had the mussels as a app and they were very good! I like mine with a more tomato based broth but mussels were very good. I had a rueben and it was awesome. My wife had baked haddock that was good. If you are in the area come check this place out! We will be back again soon!

Wonderful meal, perfectly cooked baked haddock, their well seasoned red bliss mashed potato and green beans. Excellent service. Judy Carswell was there singing. Enjoyable addition to our dinner experience.

Naples best kept secret!! I've been twice this season. Both meals were hot and fresh!! Staff is fabulous! Tonight we enjoyed live music. I've had the fish and chips and the salmon. I would order either dish again. Give the bear balls a try. I wish they packed a bit more flavor but not all palettes are the same.

This is a fun place with great food and friendly service. It is always busy, but I've never had to wait too long for a table. There's usually a live performer singing Irish folk songs during dinner, and not uncommon to hear the entire restaurant sing along. They are all about Guinness, if that's your thing.

Let me tell you...... best place to eat in the area. My boyfriend and I went into Black Bear for dinner last night for the first time, living in the area this was one of the few restaurants we haven't visited. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli w the creamy pesto sauce and the steak tip chimichuri entree, and I can honestly say we ate every single bite basically licked the plates clean, that good!!!!! I highly suggest stopping in, the drinks and service were great as well:) try the house dressing btw very unique!
