Place is a bit of a tourist trap. The food isn't bad but the drinks were way overly sweet and the service was just odd the way they do things. The location is prime and frankly I wish a better place would move in. There are better options nearby on the causeway.

Sorry, but what a cluster foxtrot this place is. Walked in with my brother and his wife. Well, if you want a normal place to drop in and eat, this isnt it. They dont take cash. Which is."legal tender for all debts, public and private" you have to scan your phone and do you ordering that way I guess by viewing their online menu. We walked out and so did the two couples that came in behind us. So if you don't have a "smart" phone, or a bank /credit account you can not eat there. Sad, because I remember when the place was normal. Talk about discriminatory practices.
Good food, great service, great location

Hostess Haley was super helpful! We had not been to a restaurant that was no cash no tip before. Food was delicious, drinks and food came out quickly and it was a great experience!
It was our groups first time back in many years. If it weren’t for the plethora of large outdoor tables and unique interior design, I would’ve sworn we were at a totally different restaurant.
The restaurant seems to be under new management or management went through a shake-up.
The restaurant uses an online ordering platform that made it super easy for our large group to not have to figure out splitting the check; each diner just bought what they wanted. This platform might not be ideal for elderly diners, but anybody who can find this review online would have no issue navigating the ordering platform.
They’ve also adopted a more European approach to restaurant pricing where the price of food / drinks is higher so the employees get a better living wage. They were upfront about this when ordering and are not trying to trick patrons into double tipping like some reviewers suggest; there’s not even an option to tip. I thought the employees all worked efficiently.
The food seemed to be of better quality than I recalled. We just had apps and drinks. We’ll likely be working Rick’s back into the rotation.

The ordering system is awful. The atmosphere is lacking. The prices are ridiculous. Never going back.

Ordering system is a joke. No contact with the servers. 2 visits in the last month, 2 disasters. 1st visit- ordered a fish sandwich, received a chicken sandwich. 2nd visit, never received my meal and nobody to talk to. Everyone ate their meal and couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Sad to see, we are local and have been coming here for 15 years. Never again.

Well if I could give a zero star rating, I would. Clam chowder brought out barely warm, asked wait staff if she could warm it and her response was, " I don't know how that could be done, it cant get any warmer" WHAT??? She then took our bowls and said it would be a while. Felt like we were inconveniencing them everytime they came by us, and we didn't even ask for much. No croutons on the Ceasar salad as well, which says on the menu that croutons come on it. When we asked for croutons, they said that they use breadcrumbs instead, which there were none on our salad. Overall, just felt like a burden and didn't appreciate the service style. We also had like 3 waiters, none of which were better than the other. As you can see, many items out of stock!!!

The waitstaff is quite nice and friendly, however the prices are outrageous. $5.25 for a soda, and a kid's meal is $14.5. Too rich for my blood unfortunately.

Agree completely with Kathryn Gerety below. I've been coming to Rick's annually since it opened way back when. It's not the Rick's I used to know. The food is good, but nothing that blows my skirt up AND it's waaaaaaaay overpriced. The place is completely devoid of any sort of atmosphere. BTW, Rick's, I don't think regular table service is outdated. This is the only restaurant I know still having everyone order by phone. It's awful pricey for having to do the work myself. Also, no tipping means poor service. Some really bad decisions were made here. I will be giving my patronage to Captain Jack's from now on.

I’ve been coming here annually for decades and sadly this year was my last time at Rick’s unless the service and payment system changes. It feels extremely impersonal and way over priced. Service is minimal, if you need a server you have to search for one, the tip is built in at 18% even though the only service you get is a food runner. It feels like a cafeteria. No longer enjoyable.
Rick’s has been such a great time on our vacation. I grew up in area and I have not experience such great customer service as I have at ricks. Thank you to Sam, hands down best in the area!

Perfect spot to get a bite after being out on the lake. The wait staff are pretty much delivery folks after the initial greeting. Food is ordered off of the app, drinks included. Whoever starts the ordering can add others to their group, we took up a couple of tables and all ordered off the one table's app and we pointed to the proper recipient. Water refills were easy and fast when we had someone in the area to flag down. Food was good, prices were to be expected.
Parking: If you can get a spot lake front you're good, didn't really look for other parking options

Pretty shocking experience all around from the terrible food to the endless excuses by the staff. I'm not opposed to an app based ordering system but you've got to offer decent service along with it. the whole place is a hot mess, or in the case of most of the food, a luke warm mess.
