We had lunch there today. Its hard to find good cooking in this area but the chef at Root Down clearly knows what he is doing. Its easy to make a greasy salty pile of goo but it requires some real talent to make a many flavored dish from fresh seasonal ingredients. The chicken wings are not what you might expect and they are spectacular.
Could not be more impressed! The food is amazing, great atmosphere, friendly staff. I absolutely appreciate that they are using produce and meats from local farms while also offering great prices on dishes.

Love that we stopped by on our way from Chester Greenwood day, we go to Farmington all the time and we are gonna prioritize our on-the-way stop whenever we can.
