Best food we’ve had in the US! A bit off the beaten tourist track but delicious home made food from local ingredients. Christina was friendly, welcoming and helpful as we enjoyed a stop off for lunch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
This is the perfect country stop for breakfast or lunch. A jewel in the Farmington area food firmament, Root Down Market features a surprisingly creative menu, featuring local farms. There are great breakfast sandwiches, classic lunch sandwiches, a Maine haddock fish and chips, and some really inventive smash burgers. Put it on your list.
Upon further reflection, the fact that we came from Florida where the air is full of mold and mildew that affects your sense of smell and taste has little to do with the fact that the food here was nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors, the textures, the environment, the absolute peace we felt ordering food from a place that values local produce and ingredients, makes this our number one recommendation for lunch anywhere near the Farmington area.
