Just found this place. A friend recommended their bagels. Here’s the thing: bagels are popular, as well they should be. They were sold out a couple of mornings ago, so I settled for an egg, sausage, and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. I drooled over lots of other stuff but resisted temptation. Plenty of time to sample the goods. Atmosphere is nice, too. Friendly, bustling. I am looking forward to many happy returns.

Love the Mousse! Whenever I want to really treat myself, I go and pick up some eclairs, raspberry squares, and raspberry tarts, as I did for my birthday. Beautiful spot, and they have a coffee kiosk outside in addition to a coffee selection inside. People there are always cheerful and friendly, something I've really learned to appreciate!!

Okay, this place is an absolute gem on Route 1. Quality all around! Fantastic food, great service! I want to address previous reviews about service because it's simply not fair to bash a small place like this over your perceived service levels. Like many small places, when they become popular and get busy, the staffing isn't there to support it. The folks at the Ginger Mouse are doing their absolute best to provide stellar products that, quite frankly, are some of the best in their class in this area. So if you're coming here on a Saturday morning thinking you won't have to wait 4 minutes to get help, you're wrong. Be patient; it's worth it. And if you can't be patient, go back to your overpriced Latte served to you by your favorite barista.

My kiddo says "this bakery is a 5 star bakery, id give them 10 stars if it was possible "? she said the Bismark was the best thing she had ever tasted.

Waiting for service and being ignored, man walks in orders exactly what my wife and I were waiting for. Takes the last three, I even made a point about being ignored, no comment. Baked goods were good. Coffee shop out side, nothing like cold lattes and mochas when you order hot. I think the staff didn’t heat the milk. We just left, I didn’t think the person working the coffee shop could handle asking for the order to be corrected. Just another tourist trap.

Great atmosphere! Pastries are delicious! Definitely deserves to be a frequent stop.

Just off highway 1 is this hidden gem with a separate coffee shack next door. There are some great looking soups in the fridge along with sometimes whole pies. We got some baked good takeaways to go to the botanical gardens with. Chocolate peanut butter sandwich cookie, lemon blueberry scone, a ginger moose ear and a raspberry bar similar to a magic bar. The ginger moose ear was unbelievable amounts of ginger. If you can't do ginger don't get this. If you can and you're a little curious about how much ginger you can put in frosting: it's worth it.

Very cute place. Food was great. Glad we stopped in. Breakfast pizza was way better than expected and my wife will not stop talking about the apple strudel.

I like this place. They keep things simple and do a good job at what they do. You need to get there early if you want the best selection. Anytime I have gotten there after 10, selection has been limited. Their cinnamon buns are exceptional. I think they only make them on Fridays and Saturdays. I have tried several of their soups. I like the chicken enchilada best. It is really good. I would NOT recommend GM's broccoli/cheddar soup as it didn't have much taste. One thing that bugs me is how you are prompted to leave a tip when you get rung up. Since their prices are pretty high, I hope that they are passing some of the profit on to the staff so I usually don' t tip. However, it does put the client in an uncomfortable situation when getting rung up. I wish that they would change this.
