We have gone to NEBO over 10 times with several couples. Angie and Emma have been unbelievable with everything, and I mean everything, they offer. From cocktails on their beautiful deck to a delightful dinner menu and finally with their baked eggs for breakfast. You have a pleasant peaceful time.

We had a lovely, two night stay at the Nebo Lodge. The lodge is so charming and an easy walk from the North Haven ferry. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We also had a great dinner at the Nebo restaurant. North Haven is a beautiful and special place and Nebo fits in perfectly. Can’t wait to return!

We booked the “Dinner Cruise” that we got to through the Nebo Lodge website. Booking the cruise made it seem like it was through the lodge, but after trying to call and email the Lodge to confirm if dinner was include and approximate pricing if not included for over a week we decided to cancel. We were also not able to get a refund from the cruise. I have been all over Maine and of all of the hotels and restaurants I have been to or dealt with I would put Nebo in last place, not even close as even if the food is good, it would never be worth the hassle to even try to go there again. I hope that they will reconsider their poor practices as having customers is a privilege, not a right.

Our party of 6 came from Vinalhaven after having made a reservation and confirming that at least one vegan meal option would be available for myself and my husband. The other 4 people in our party had been to Nebo Lodge the previous 2 years and my husband and I were excited visit after hearing their positive reviews.
We heard another guest mention that the chef was “not there” which is maybe how things panned out how they did…I digress.
First, our cocktails were excellent and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. The focaccia put out for the table was decent but was not enough for 6 people. The waitress seemed to be doing her best but appeared quite lost.
The vegan options? The green salad appetizer which had a sad few tomatoes, cucumber, and yellow squash slices. This is what I ordered and I’m sad to say that I left our dinner still hungry. It’s perfectly fine as a side salad or starter but it’d be quite a stretch to call it a meal. My MIL had asked if anything else could be done considering when the reservation was made we were told it would be no issue. They threw some cold quinoa and tomatoes on a plate with no seasoning or dressing for my husband.
Needless to say, a disappointingly lack luster experience especially given the price point. Perhaps we’ll give it another shot during next year’s trip up but with lower expectations.

My wife and I went to Nebo for an anniversary dinner. The food and ambience were superb but service was very slow - 30 minutes between our salad and entrees of steak and of salmon. The wait would have been less annoying if the server had checked in since groups at nearby tables who came in after we did got the entrees much sooner.

Have stayed at Nebo Lodge twice while on North Haven Island. Both times were wonderful experiences. Food and drinks were wonderful and the rooms very very comfortable. Employees were very friendlyFood & drinks: They have great cocktails and the farm to table menu is amazing.

The menu is solid, and the atmosphere is very good, as was the service. So it feels like a special place to dine. But the quality of the entrees didn’t quite justify the price. I felt the dessert was the highlight of the evening.
We went for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed the room, the staff, and the food. The map they supplied did a pretty good job for our driving but next timw I’d pack a US Topographical map to show all the fiddly roads and views and so forth.

I stayed for a week in July and had a super visit. I booked Dogfish, which had a very comfortable bed and strong air conditioning (not usually needed on island but it was a searing hot week so it was much appreciated)! This room is directly over the bar area and I’d been warned about potential noise but it was actually nice and quiet. Several great meals and fun nights at the bar were had! The highlight was the welcoming staff—Angie, Emma, Meg, Mary, Annabel and others took great care of me throughout my stay. Look forward to next summer.

The group of eight of us had four different selections with three of the four rating their dinners as just bland; one rated their dinner as very good, one as fair and the other three as good.Appetizers were very good to excellent in all cases.We were disappointed overall.
