I enjoyed the fish chowder and my friend enjoyed his BLT with fries. If you like a good chowder, I highly recommend trying their fish chowder because I savored every bit of it along with some oyster crackers. Give this spot a try because it’s worth the food and excellent service?

Probably an unusual experience on Eclipse Day, but fries were uncooked.

Excellent home-cooked meals in a family type atmosphere. We make specific trips to eat here. Brenda makes THE BEST chowders; fish, seafood, etc.Wayne, Lindsay, and Heather, make sure you are a happy diner!

A strange place, quite homely but maybe overly so, like when you haven’t tidied up before visitors arrive? quite a varied menu but we opted for the haddock burger and fries. Good sized portions. The server didn’t interact other than taking g the order.

Great simple place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Went about a year and a half ago, and just remembered it when visiting the state again. Staff is very friendly and this is a great place to stop.

Simple menu. My tuna sandwich was perfect and the fries were great!

The waiter tried but wasn't attentive until he realized he forgot about us for more than 20 mins before he came back to get our order. The food was ok. Small place.

This was my first food in Maine after crossing the Canadian border, and it was great. I had a BLT, which was one of the best BLTs I've had, hands down. I'm thankful for missing that exit, because this is way better than any fast food. Although I only stayed there for a moment, it was oddly cozy. Plus, the name, "A Place to Eat" is wonderfully humorous! If I ever go to northern Maine again, I'll go here.
