It’s a staple so we wanted to try it. The atmosphere is nice and the concept feels very authentic. However, the food was very mediocre. We tried the lobster rolls, grilled cheese and dessert. The only good thing were the clams but it’s hard to miss that. Lastly, why can’t they put a wine in a REAL glass and not a plastic cup? That changes everything and is way less wasteful. Also for the very high price, why not wash dishes?

Very expensive but this is now a standard in Ogunquit. Very flavourful, lobster roll and lobster ? freshly catch and cooked. For the price, I would offer homemade kettle chips VS Ruffles

Toasted, and had a chowder & lobster roll in memory of 10 years of my mom's passing at her favorite restaurant - Barnacle Billy's! We would frequent Ogunquit while my mom was alive, as it was her therapy. Its a wonderful place to visit, and highly recommend it, as it is worth the trip for their seafood, valet service, and relaxing views. Thank you all once again for your service and kindness.

The best part of this place was the free valet parking. The food was average. I actually had to double check that the place we went was the same place that has so many great reviews. The clam chowder was about the quality of something from a can. The haddock sandwich and fish and chips were fine, no one in our party ate more than half of their fish. The onion rings were tasteless. Packaged tartar sauce, really? Plastic cups. The flies in the dining room did not add to the ambience. Our server was fine, but spent the whole time gossiping with friends at the table next to us. Not going back.

Lobster casserole was great, service a bit slow, great view
Nicely prepared baked haddock and scallop platters, not overcooked (which can often be the case). The portions were generous. We shared the blueberry pie and chocolate cake. Both desserts were good. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised ,we expected it to be a bit of a tourist trap, the the meal was quite good. Nothing exceptional but very nice. The side salads were a bit disappointing, but that’s often the case at large family style restaurants like this.
