While exploring downtown Ogunquit, we stopped for some ice cream here. They had a bunch of great flavors and generous portion sizes. I enjoyed the red raspberry chip (which had thick chocolate chunks) mixed with chocolate peanut butter chip, while my husband had the Maine blueberry pie. The staff was pleasant and we sat on a bench outside to enjoy our ice cream. We would definitely come back again for another treat!

Sickly sweet. Yes the ice cream texture was pretty creamy but it was also a little melty. The ginger flavor was so sweet I felt sick part way. The picture of the half eaten ice cream is where I stopped eating because the ice cream made me feel sick. The ginger flavor was more candied ginger, with a heavy emphasis on candied and not much ginger. The peppermint stick flavor was pure sugar, with almost no mint flavor. Would not recommend.

Huge variety to choose from. You can very easily be overwhelmed with all the choices. We tried four flavors and they were all excellent so it's highly recommend. Just bear in mind that the portions are more than generous; we took a small size cup each (1.5 scoops) and we struggled to finish it!

Ice cream itself was fine but I ordered a kids size because I wanted a kids size!! Just one scoop!! They gave me three huge scoops on one tiny cone and it kinda ruined the “small sweet treat” experience I wanted, it ended up being stressful to deal with instead of fun… please respect customers orders! ? Why are the sizes even listed if 1 scoop somehow equals 3 scoops?? I don’t get it…

The best ice cream in america .When i serve my tables i always tell them go get a Big daddy’s ice cream.Molly is so nice to me when ever i stop by.I eat two ice cream a day ,1 before work and 1 after wrk.And i only eat grapenut sometimes rum and raisin.

They give you a lot of ice cream for 5 bucks! Many many many flavors to choose from and the employees are nice. I chose orange pineapple- a unique blend and understandably sweet. Its homemade Maine ice cream so I had to try it of course. I loved the texture- very creamy and marshmallowy.
Went here 3x this week. Fast & friendly service. Great selection of flavors. We tried & enjoyed Peanut Butter Oreo, S’mores, Coffee Heath Bar, Almond Butter Crunch, and Salted Caramel Crunch. Great addition to Ogunquit!

On our way north on Route 1 in Maine from NH to Woolwich, we were disappointed that we weren’t finding any ice cream places that were open … then we saw the sign for Big Daddy’s and we whipped into the level, neatly graveled parking lot. One of us had a cup of Wild Maine Blueberry Pie, one of us had a cup of Maple Bourbon Pecan. Both were superb. Often blueberry-flavored food tastes artificial - not this - this tasted of blueberries, and had plenty of blueberries and just enough pie crust. The Maple Bourbon Pecan was delicious too, and it contained more pecans than we’ve ever had in an ice cream with nuts.
We sat at an outside picnic table to enjoy our ice cream, and then went inside to use the rest room. There are more tables in there.
The ice cream and selection of flavors rivals our local place (Memories in Exeter, NH)! We might just have to indulge ourselves on our way south …
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.- DON’T MISS THIS PLACE!

Ice cream was very creamy and delicious. I particularly like the Maine Blueberry Pie and the M&M flavors. You get a lot of ice cream with each serving. The line was long but the service moved quick. Would come back!
