Wow! Wonderful food, handcrafted pasta. We had the Bolognese and Haddock Piccata. Both were delicious. Amazing portions. Hands down the best food we have had since arriving in Maine earlier this week. Plan to return for gelato and Whoopi’s pies when we have room to eat again.

This is the most disappointing restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s just a tourist trap with 2/5 star food and an hour wait. If you enjoy the food here, you’ve never eaten a good meal in your life.

Skip this place. Meatballs in meatball sandwich are standard food service meatballs. Not homemade. The chicken panini is made with cheap chicken deli loaf.

Service was ok and patio was relaxing with good view of street. Roast Squash salad with grilled chicken was ok. But Pollo Caprese Panino was terrible. Supposed to be grilled chicken but got sliced deli meat instead. Side pasta salad was tasteless. Would not go back.

We stopped here for lunch and I ordered the chicken panini sandwich. The chicken sandwich was made with chicken lunch meat, tomato, basil, and mozzarella on Wonderbread. It was disappointing and I feel the kitchen can do better at $15 a pop. Real chicken and maybe a ciabatta roll for the panini at minimum. Our little group will try a different restaurant next time. The staff were pleasant and the view from the deck was lovely.

It's a nice place and the food was very good but it's one of those places that let people bring their dogs into the restaurant. Not service dogs. Pets. In a restaurant. Has to be a health code violation. Gross.

Got the chicken caprese sandwich, it was gross. Chicken was rubbery and apparently undercooked. The chips.. they sprinkled some weird spice, smoke paprika?, ruined those too. I wouldn't recommend.

Today, we had the pleasure of dining at Caffe Prego for lunch, located on Shore Road in Ogunquit. This charming Italian restaurant boasts a Sicilian flair and offers various seating options, including an indoor area, a semi-enclosed patio, and a full outside patio. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a full bar and gelato bar. The menu is diverse and reasonably priced, featuring dishes made from scratch. Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by all working there. Our bartender/waiter, Vukasin (Vuki), provided exceptional service, and his personality only enhanced the dining experience. We ordered the Frozed Espresso Martini and Blood Orange Cosmo, which were perfectly balanced and delicious. For starters, we chose Italian Wedding Soup and Clam Chowder, both of which were outstanding. For our meals, we selected a meatball sub, panzanella salad, and a lunch special fall pizza. All meals were made with fresh ingredients and were very pleasing to the palate. I particularly enjoyed the pizza!
If you're seeking a prime location to dine, socialize or observe the vibrant atmosphere of Shore Road, we highly recommend Caffe Prego for a satisfying dining experience overall!
