We loved the grilled shrimp tacos and shrimp burritos too. We went back and took bowls (poke type) which we liked less (personal tastes). The atmosphere and service are impeccable. We will return there on our next trip!

We had dinner here on 7/27. The drinks were fine. The tortilla chips are definitely store bought. I had the ancho beef tacos it looked like dog food, super watery, the taco shells are store bought and similar to the mission brand. My husband got the chicken bowl and there was about 3oz of chicken total in the dish. My son got the pork tacos and the meat was dry and lacked flavor. My youngest got hot dogs which weren’t even delivered to the table until we were about halfway through dinner and they were ice cold in the middle, how do you mess up a hot dog? Clearly the chef completely lacks any culinary experience. The most bland underwhelming “fusion” food we have ever had!
The food and drinks were mediocre at best. The rum buckets here are not the typical tropical/fruity rum buckets that you'd expect, but have more of a bitter iced tea flavor and were not good at all. They even looked like iced tea (very dark unlike your typical blue or pink colored rum bucket). We love rum buckets and get them at other places all summer long (including the Old Orchard Beach Pier), but the ones here were just plain awful and not at all palatable. The killer part is that they were $23 a piece!!! I'm not entirely sure what they put in their buckets, but we couldn't even finish them. The service was decent, which is the only thing that saved this from being a one-star review. Would not recommend Hooks.

There was a small wait, but we were able to sit in the bar side right away! We all loved our meals from bowls to blackened fish sandwiches. I will definitely be going back! Staff and service was phenomenal. Make sure you give them a try!

Went on a Monday..got seated in a very hot area * we are both seniors * asked to move and was fine. Another party cane in..seated/served drinks and we were still waiting for someone to at least offer us water. .didn't happen. We did inform the hostess we were leaving and the reason. NO one should have to wait more than 10 minutes to at least be acknowledged..bought nothing and won't be back

I’m only giving it 2 stars for the food because that was good even though one person in our parties food was messed up. First, we were greeted by the rude hostess. She put us at a table in the sun and we kindly asked if we could sit in the shade, this kicked off a string of dirty looks from her for the rest of our time there. We were then, ignored for 10 minutes until I stopped a very kind waitress who helped us and took our orders and our waiter came over and claimed he “didn’t see us” despite making eye contact and walking past us. We also asked for lemons for our water that look quite a bit. I worked In customer service 10+ years and I never complain, especially about restaurant service or workers because I get they are overworked and stretched thin but this was ridiculous. We used to love this place but we will not be returning.
