Beautiful place nestled in the trees. Gorgeous hardwood floors and fire place, windows with old time lace curtains, well maintained. Multiple rooms so can accommodate a large party if needed but doesn't feel like a cavernous hall. The staff was lovely, very attentive. Food wise was less then impressed. The entrees were not very good, in fact we did not eat either of ours. They were so salty to be inedible. Not sure if this was a fluke... The lobster bisque was nice. I wouldn't go back for dinner, but maybe for a martini and bisque.

Jonathan's is a wonderful experience. Food, service, atmosphere, and shows are amazing. Also, you can stay nearby overnight and make it a getaway.

Fantastic dinner and comedy show, Kerri Louise -so funny- we had the scallops as a starter and they were amazing. Sirloin and Salmon for dinner were some of the best we've ever had, slightly spicy crust on the Salmon was an all time favorite. Great service! Everyone super friendly...

Meals a bit pricey but delish. A nice Steak & I have a seafood pasta. Plenty if seafood. Service very nice and quick. No salt pepper on table but quickly fixed Martinis where perfect!! Dessert was flavorful however wanted maple walnut Ice cream but they were out and had just reopened for the season

The restaurant, service and food was excellent! Very convenient to go right upstairs to the show after dinner! Make reservations for both dinner and show significantly ahead of time!

We have been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. Not this time. We went to dinner before a show. Our server was awful - was more interested in setting up new tables than helping us, to the point that two dishes were only lukewarm at best by the time she fetched them. Offered us two free desserts to "make up for" the cool entrees, but took so long getting them (they were finally brought out by someone else) that we were late for the show. She passed this off by saying 'It's ok, they never start on time" but they did. Not a good experience this time.

As a frequent visitors to Ogunquit we've always wanted to try Jonathan's, We came up for Christmas by the sea & decided to finally give it a try. Meh. I had made a reservation but our table was not ready when we got there so we went to the bar for a drink while we waited. Pros: The food was pretty good. The blueberry butter was amazing. The saxophonists in the lounge was amazing and even came over and did Happy Birthday (it was my birthday) at our table. The place was super busy so clearly most people seem so love it. Cons: while waiting in the bar (where we were instructed to wait, we continued to check on our table and were repeatedly told it would only be a moment longer. Finally my boyfriend went up and spoke to someone who admitted that they'd forgotten about us. The bartender did not appear to enjoy her job and was not interested in small talk or joking around, our two servers seemed tired and bored despite how busy it was. I just didn't get a warm vibe. Maybe it was an off night. Who knows.
We had a very enjoyable and festive evening at Jonathan's. The servers were attentive and our meal choices were delivered within acceptable time limits. Varied menu provided numerous options. Food was excellent. Evening didn't end with our dinners as we took in the entertainment, which was a great way to end the experience.

Service was amazing, and the food was fantastic. Mussels appetizer and salmon dinner was delicious. Our server was prompt and thoughtful. The dining area has a cozy feel. Cool fish tanks!
The timing of the meal was very poor. We ordered an appetizer and entrees at the same time. The entrees arrived 20 minutes before the appetizer. All of the other tables received bread and butter but we didn't until we asked for it. Food was good but service and timing was less than ideal.

We have been to Jonathan's before for dinner and enjoyed the experience. We decided to have Thanksgiving dinner there this year. They did not disappoint. Even though it was a holiday, the entire staff was warm, friendly and inviting. The meals were great. It's become a 'go to' place.

Reservation system seems to work well. Management went out of their way to assist with details. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. All in all, a great way enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner.
