I came here last night with my family and we had an absolutely wonderful experience, we had the best seat in the restaurant with beautiful views of the ocean in every direction, even on a rainy evening which made it even more cozy. I’m vegan and went into dinner thinking I would just have a salad as I didn’t see anything on the menu or have read any reviews mentioning a vegan option but upon arrival and speaking with our attentive waitress I learned that the chef would be able to make me something. She made me a Moroccan spice eggplant on a bed of jasmine rice with bok choy and beets in a coconut curry sauce and when I say it was absolutely delicious I pretty much licked the bowl clean. The chef even made it a point to come out and check on what I thought of the meal which was so extravagant as they are clearly passionate about creative, delicious meals. 100/10 recommend and truly fairly priced for the 4 of us we got 4 cocktails, vegan dish, chicken dish, salmon dish, shrimp dish and two salads and the total was under $250 before tip!

Caviar Service was outstanding as were the Oysters on the half Shell with delicious mignonette! Always an amazing experience.

I was in Perkins Cove with my elderly mother who was in a wheelchair. We were hoping to go to M.C. Perkins Cove as I saw they had an elevator outside to get into the building. When I went up to the restaurant the elevator area was blocked by a red Jeep and could not be accessed. I went in and spoke with the individual behind the bar (that was the only person working there I saw when I walked in) and asked if it would be possible to use the elevator since my mother was in a wheelchair. They told me the elevator was broken. There was NOT a sign on the elevator and no other explanation was provided. If you have anyone in your party who cannot do stairs - make sure to call ahead & make sure the elevator is working!

When I walked in the door, I said wow the view of the ocean is incredible. When you sit down every table has a great view. The staff was extremely accommodating, offering a lot of assistance and patience for ordering. The food was amazing. I had the burger, smoky bacon. Excellent my sister had the lobster roll. There was not one bite of food left on anybody’s plate. Thank you for an incredible lunch.

If there was a rating of zero for service, I would give a zero! The food was fantastic, thank very much to the chef! But for the staff, for the first time in my life I had experience with such terrible service, if you want to ruin your mood and evening, then you need to visit this place, and the staff will help you with this!

Definitely worth the trip!
Great food in a great location with ocean views at Perkins Cove. Parking could be tough on weekends.

Been here a few times and last night will be the last. The drinks were horrendous. The margarita was just sour mix. Our appetizers took an hour to get. Our waitress didn’t update us until 45 min had passed. It took 20 min to get a glass of wine. I understand she was the only one working upstairs but she was pretty bad at her job. Our card was flagged when she ran it and while we were trying to confirm the purchase to our bank and say it wasn’t fraudulent, she came pack extremely rude to us while we were trying to figure it out. They added on 20% gratuity which was a bit much for our experience. Being right next to the ocean can’t save the place from bad service and horrible drinks.

Tried to eat lunch here. Manager was very confrontational about my service dog. That made the experience start on a bad note so we found another place to eat.

Went twice on our honeymoon for dinner and both times were amazing! Food and drinks were phenomenal! All the servers were extremely pleasant and attentive, even when it was very busy.

While the view on the ocean is lovely, the place was very crowded with a few groups causing a lot of noise so it was hard to have a conversation. However, I can imagine that on a less busy day this will not be an issue.
As for the food, their fish and oysters are tasty and fresh, but for those who appreciate less greasy/fried foods there are fewer options. Nonetheless, the food is nicely prepared and the sevice is so kind and attentive.

A very disappointing experience. Dining out in a high-end restaurant is our treat when we come visit Ogunquit once a year. We chose MC this year, based on a previous visit that was memorable.

Well, this year’s visit was quite different. We felt rushed, not having been told that there was a second service, and we had barely 90 minutes to drink, order, eat and enjoy our meal and the beautiful surroundings. We were asked three times within 5-minute of seating what our order was. We were even told that we should order quickly so there wouldn’t be a rush in the kitchen!

As for the food, the appetizer was good and original, figs, prosciutto, and Brie crostini, the cocktails were delicious, but my sister’s bone-in pork shop was way overdone. My duck confit was quite good, but the plating looked awful with the black plate, covered with charred Brussels sprouts and the dark skin of the squash.

Well, that’s it for MC for us. Dommage! it used to be unique for us. Adieu.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here. We had no reservation but were seated quickly to a seat, inside, facing the ocean. Our drinks, beer and prosecco were served nice and cold. Oysters were perfect, I love when a restaurant makes a special mignonette, it can really make the whole experience! I had a Caesar salad with perfectly cooked shrimp and my husband's burger was as he requested. I think this spot deserves more stars than it has!

Very disappointed with our experience - was told over the phone they would “fix it up” for the bachelorette dinner I had planned this weekend. They did nothing special. Food was ok. I requested we were sat outside when I called to reserve and they didn’t have a table for us when we got there. We hardly had a server, no one bothered to check if we wanted any other drinks or dessert, just given the bill. They also would not allow modifications? The waiter said they couldn’t add chicken to a salad, we would’ve paid whatever extra… Throughout the meal we heard the servers arguing with each-other as they were running around….really disappointed as this was supposed to be a special dinner for our group.
