We had an incredible meal tonight celebrating birthdays! Livia was a wonderful server and made our experience even better! The charcuterie, cocktails, oysters, lamb and burger were perfect! This has become a favorite for us!

Looking though restaurants that i have yet to review, I was shocked to see that Northern Union was a restaurant that I have not yet rated. Northern Union is a frequent spot of mine and has a lot to offer in the Ogunquit area. I'll start off by saying that the venue is beautiful. There are comfy chairs with tables, traditional sitting arrangements, and high top seating by the small bar. The aesthetic is certainly elevated modernism, but with a nautical flair. The service is always spot on. Each time my partner and I have come, the servers are incredibly knowledgeable and make your experience even better. Given that we have spent multiple anniversaries here, the serving staff always make it a little special by providing either dessert of a glass of prosecco. The food is, again, always amazing. The honest highlight for me is the potato latke with creme fraiche, chives and cavier. It is honestly the best thing on the menu, in my opinion...and for only $8! My partner and I typically get two of these...because it is hard to share it when it is THAT good. I will say, my partner and I typically get a bunch of the appetizers to split, but the entrees are good as well. The entrees typically change with the seasons. I have had halibut, chicken, and pasta dishes, and have never been disappointed. We just typically like the variety of the appetizers, especially since there is a lot to choose from. Lastly, they always have a great wine list, local drafts, and a small curated cocktail list. Northern Union will continue to be a frequent spot, and I definitely suggest to anyone looking for appetizers and some wine for a nice night out!

Ate here a week ago and have been meaning to write a review ever since. Absolutely loved our experience here--it's been a while since I ate somewhere I felt compelled to suggest to everyone I know (and to write a review to follow up!). It was the first time in a while I've felt so excited about a dining experience. The ambience is so lovely--warm and cozy but not pretentious--feels very Scandi meets Maine meets eating in someone's well appointed home. The Parker House Rolls with seaweed butter were SO good--so good, in fact, we nearly ordered another plate of them (and wish we had). We had the spinach salad that was delicious and then my husband had a pasta dish and I had the osso bucco. The dish my husband ordered was similar to a dish at our all time favorite restaurant (Giulia in Cambridge, MA) but he said it was just as good as the plate there. The osso bucco was so tender and delicious--my only critique is that the red pea risotto was a tad salty (this was great at first but I was glugging water by the end)...but not enough for me to take a star away. Everything felt elevated and there was so much more on the menu I'd like to try on another visit. My only other note was that the water glasses they give you were tiny...but they provide you a bottle at the table to refill (which I must have done about 25 times). I hope to be back!

Very disappointed with my time at Northern Union. It took an extremely long amount of time (over an HOUR) to simply just get A SALAD. I had a reservation and didn't get any sort of food until over an hour after I had sat down. Keep in mind, the place was not busy at all. There were tons of open tables. I decided to not even order an entree because of how disappointed I was with the service. While I was there, people that sat down after me, got their food way before me. My server did not come to check up on me and notify me of any delay/problems in the kitchen. Clearly they had some problems. I had such a bad experience that I will not be coming back to Northern Union.

This was our second time at Northern Union and once again we had a 10/10 experience. The food and drinks were fantastic, as was the wonderful service. Highly recommend trying the scallops, they were fantastic!!

Phenomenal food. 10/10 would recommend- the flavors were so satisfying and the dishes were very creative. Only complaint is that for the price, the tortellini main was rather skimpy- I would have expected double the amount that was on the plate! Other than that, the chef knows what they are doing!!

Northern Union has been a favorite for years and delivered a truly memorable meal on our most recent visit. The Farm Salad started our meal nicely and our server was super attentive. The entrees of duck breast and salmon, however, were the showstoppers - prepared perfectly and taste sensations! The deconstructed cheesecake was the perfect end to an exceptional meal!
