Good luck. With. The rebuild. Make. The new restaurant bigger and serve French fries. Allow artists to show there. Art. On the walls.

Amazing from the location to the service and menu! The lobster is so very good and delicious. The restaurant atmosphere was amazing and great food! Open only seasonal and you shouldn’t miss out on it. Lobsters are in the back by the kitchen and you get to see if the staff allows you! Highly recommend giving them a try

We arranged to have a family function at the Oarweed on a Sunday.  Through several emails between us and the manager it was decided that we should get there at 1100.  A few family members were running late, not understanding the severity of the traffic in that area.  We endured several demeaning statements from the manager and staff about the tardiness.  We finally ordered our meals at closer to 1200.  When they did finally arrive, everyone was very sorely disappointed, the fish sandwiches and veggy burgers were obviously just frozen pattys microwaved and thrown on a cheap hamburger bun, a bag of potato chips and a packet of either Ketchup or tartar sauce in the tray.  Not what I was expecting from an $18 fish sandwich.  We expected a decent quality meal in a nice location, we got a slapped together meal.  The entire time we were there at least ½ of the tables in the restaurant were unoccupied.  As we prepared to leave we were challenged by the manager because he felt that a $60 on a $320 bill was not enough because we were there for 2½ hours, hours that the restaurant was NOT EVER more that 50% full, we were not keeping anyone else from coming in.... In my opinion the tip was MORE than they actually deserved.  It was my intention to tip individual serving staff in cash, but the overly aggresive "manager" managed to shame one of my party into a $100 tip so I withdrew my $60.   ONLY up side is the location.
I will NEVER set foot in the place again, it is a complete disappointment, avoid at at costs unless you like overpaying for questionable food sloppily presented.  Go to a take out restaurant nearby and walk the Marginal Way, that's where the scenery is anyway.

They have a good sea-food chowder, and you can’t beat the view. The staff bends over backwards to make sure you’re having a good time. My wife and I don’t visit Maine without visiting Oarweed’s. Last time we visited we drove straight from Montreal to the Oarweed parking lot and ate there.

Delicious lobster rolls but not a lot of sides with : just a little chips bag … warm welcoming in the restaurant and served quickly. The prices are correct. You have a free parking.

Cozy place with excellent buffet breakfast included. We also had a delicious dinner. Good location and quiet for a fall visit. Close enough to downtown Boothbay and the botanical gardens.

My very favorite spot to eat in Ogunquit, and what a view!

The hostess was pleasant and friendly, and accommodated our choice of table.

Everything went downhill as soon as Sandy, the waitress, came over. She looked like she really did not want to be there, and told us we are paranoid when we asked whether the water served is filtered.

Food arrived and was the most tasteless experience we have had: broiled haddock fillet with no flavor, and a baked potato that seemed to have been around for a while.

As we began to eat, we found a string of something ‏next to the fish and we called on Sandy to ask what it was. She determined it was a carrot string, and proceeded to use her bare fingers to remove it from the plate, rendering it contaminated even if she did not touch the fish itself! Sadly, Sandy did not see it as such so we told her to take the meal back and take it off our bill. That prompted the manager to come by, further escalating the situation by denying any wrongdoing and going on and on about how long the restaurant has been in service, in an accusatory tone of voice as if WE wronged them. There was no apology nor an offer to prepare another dish instead.

Stay away from this restaurant.
