Hands down the best seafood dinner we’ve ever had!
The lobsters were absolute perfection—sweet, succulent, and cooked just right. All we had to do was crack them open and dip into clarified butter heaven.
The steamers were incredibly clean—so fresh they didn’t even need to be rinsed in broth!
Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew their seafood inside and out. True professionals.
If you’re ever in Ogunquit, this place is a must-visit experience!
Just a heads-up—they’re only open Friday through Sunday from 5–8 pm.
We lucked out arriving at 7:45 pm and still got a warm, welcoming experience.

My wife and I went for a quiet dinner at the end of the summer season. We were given a gift certificate and had already used a portion of it in a previous visit. We ordered dinner and when we checked out, the waitress came back and said there was a zero balance on our gift card because we had used everything the first time. We had the receipt from the last visit showing we had spent roughly half of the gift certificate.
The waitress, who was courteous and professional brought the manager in and things went downhill fast. In the end, the manager insinuated that my wife and I were lying and that we used the remainder
Of the certificate for the tip last time. We said we tip with cash and it’s possible an error was made on their part. She said she would never call us liars but she said her staff would never lie so it had to be us. She then turned to me and apologized for my wife’s behavior!!! What a condescending arrogant unprofessional person she is. She obviously is in a job she can’t handle. The fact that the Lobster pound employs such a manager tells you all you need to know about this establishment. Look at some of the other reviews. It is a recurring theme. Avoid this resteraunt at all cost. There are so many
Good ones here in Maine.

Me and my wife arrived around 615 and we're told of a wait for tables because of staffing issues. While waited we saw a man giving the girl who takes your names a hard time the hostess had to step in and move him away. The hostess was very professional they way she handled the situation. As always we had a nice meal and the staff was great
I will never go there again Treated very badly and very disrespectful Hostess needs to be retrained in the hospitality industry. You don't treat returning customers as rudely as we were treated
Best prices lobster with full dining room experience. Get seated. Order. Take your table number and Go outside and pick your lobsters. Then bring the ticket back in to give to your server. They cook it and precrack it for you perfectly. Server was running behind so we were waiting for butter and sides after the lobster arrived but the experience was great nonetheless.

Being from the South, a very fresh lobster dinner was a treat! Delicious food all around. I was with a tour group.
A True Maine Classic – An Unforgettable Lobster Experience!
If you’re looking for authentic Maine flavor, outstanding service, and a dining experience that feels both classic and personal, look no further than this incredible lobster restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by warm smiles and the kind of hospitality you only get at a true local favorite—and that starts at the top with Bill, the owner. He treats every guest like family, and it shows in every detail of the place.
The restaurant has a vintage maritime décor that brings you straight back to old coastal Maine—weathered wood, nautical accents, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and genuine. It’s the kind of place where stories are told and memories are made.
Now let’s talk lobster—because this is where they truly shine. You actually get to choose your own lobster from their fresh tanks, and moments later it’s steamed to perfection and served exactly the way it should be—sweet, tender, and unbelievably fresh. Every bite reminds you why Maine is famous for this stuff. The sides and accompaniments were top-notch as well, but the lobster steals the show as it should.
The service is outstanding—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it makes the entire meal that much more enjoyable.
If you want authentic Maine done right, this place is a must-visit. Traditional, delicious, honest—and run by someone who truly cares. Bill and his team have created something special here. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

Great, busy place., known especially for their lobsters and steamers. The line for this restaurant starts about 40mins prior to opening on busy nights. If you are one of the first to get here there is no wait once open.

Worst restaurant in Ogunquit. The service is awful and the manager was rude to three people in a row. One group put in their reservation and was told after 25 minutes they lost it. When they complained the manager said get in line and start over of their are plenty of restaurants you can go to. I was told they would not even take a takeout order. Worst service in Maine. As the manager said luckily their are plenty of good alternatives.

The lobster was fantastic. The steak was cooked just right but was unseasoned. Skip the overcooked green beans. My wife loved this pasta dish she ordered.
