I gave the room 5 stars because it reminded me of my grandparents' old house. The bar is fantastic. Food is wonderful. Very friendly people working there.

Our family of 3 enjoyed our meal and service last night. A second visit here but this time with our 10 year old son who ate the same dish as myself (seafood stuffed haddock) clean plate club and we even saved room for dessert! Our server was lovely and we look forward to coming back to dine again. :)

My wife and I enjoyed dining at the Old Village Inn. It was our second time dining there. The whole experience was great. This is now our favorite restaurant of many we have tried when we vacation in Ogunquit every year.

We loved everything about our dining experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was delicious, with lots of variety. We will definitely look forward to going back to this charming restaurant. We both agreed that we felt as though we had traveled back in time. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely quaint place to spend an evening. It is not a fancy Boston restaurant because in its own way it's better. A simple but very good wine list, a simple but excellent choice of meals. We often have ‘fish and chips' as they rival the best of the UK (without the paper), and that was my order; but our server Tony said try the special, prime rib. Good choice, excellent server. 25-30 years coming to the area (off season only) and this is now at the top of our list. Thank you, see you on our next trip. ?

We had dinner at the restaurant and I must say it was disappointing. I really expected more of the so called “house made lobster bisque” with barely any lobster in it and lacking seasoning and salt. Well, also the two main dishes we ordered, raviolis with shrimp and lobster had the same issue: seasoning! I tried to improve them myself at the table adding some butter, salt and black pepper… nevertheless it was hard to finish them even though, believe me, I was kinda hungry!Food & drinks: As posted above, the food is very disappointing.

Very nice overall. Quaint and quite nice dining room decor and a bit of a step back to former times. Very relaxed and quite good service. Personable but not intrusive. The food was quite good but I felt the description of the "Ribeye Steak" was quite off the mark. Overdone and seemed like a slice of "prime rib" with a little seasoning and a short shot on the grill. This should be called what it is. "Prime Rib of Beef".

The place is just beautiful and charming. And while the food is good quality, as evidenced by the prime rib the cooking style is bland. Broiled scallops looked white and undercooked, except for the chicken and capers, the chicken piccata was tasteless. Ask an Italian, angel hair pasta is for children and sick people.

I have now stayed here a couple of times and every time the service has been impeccable. We are always greeted by friendly staff when checking in and made to feel welcome.Usually we will come down to the Bar around 4pm and the atmosphere is great, everyone is chatting with each other and nothing is too much trouble for the bartenders. We have eaten at the OVI numerous times both at the bar and in the restaurant and each time the food has come in good time and always tastes wonderful, We were just up for thanksgiving and even though it was very busy as almost one of the only places in town open, the waiters made sure the standard of service was just as good as usual. The Thanksgiving dinner was reasonably priced and piping hot on service, although busy we were not rushed at all and enjoyed the day tremendouslyWould highly recommend!!

The OVI "Where everybody knows your name"This is a terrific small inn, restaurant and bar right in downtown Ogunquit. We are international travellers from the UK and we stay here twice a year. The food, drinks and stay are always top notch. We would not think of going anywhere else. The inn is over 100 years old and you can feel its history.Would definitely recommend.

OVI continues to maintain consistent levels of service and quality. They have a nice reasonably priced wine list with a lot of by the glass offerings. We enjoyed the baked stuffed shrimp dinner which is served with 4 large shrimps with a shrimp stuffing! It also came with a nice baked potato and vegetable. For dessert we enjoyed a nice blueberry pie a la mode. The pie was warmed! Natasha our server was attentive bringing nice dinner rolls! I know we'll be returning!

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner this year at The Old Village Inn. The restaurant was full and the servers were very busy, however, the food and the service were excellent, and all of the staff were friendly and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary and Thanksgiving on the same day. Everything was outstanding from service to delicious food. We had a cozy table for two. Service was very quick, the food was well prepared. We had a wonderful time celebrating our 50th at the same place where we had our first date in 1973!

Extremely poor service. I would rate our waiter as a magician based on how he was able to disappear. When we arrived my wife asked if we could sit in the sunroom, but the maitre d was abrupt and said those had been reserved for a long time. No need for attitude. I ordered a filet mignon medium. It was served well done. My wife ordered the traditional thanksgiving dinner and it was adequate. I did not want to spoil her experience by complaining. I have had good meals in the past, but for me this is the end.
