The food was excellent. Our waiter however was absolutely horrible. It seemed like he didn't want to be there. He should definitely look for another line of work.
We first went to Roberto's about 30 years ago and always visit whenever we're in Ogunquit (which admittedly is not often). I was looking forward to visiting there again but the experience was disappointing. As several other reviews have pointed out, the food was bland. I had to add salt in an attempt to give it some flavor, something I rarely need to do in an Italian restaurant. The decor in the restaurant was similarly bland and lacked atmosphere. I was also disappointed to see that the white table cloths are covered by sheets of white paper, which I find completely inappropriate given that it represents itself as a fairly upscale restaurant. The paper sheets make it seem like some run of the mill family restaurant. I get that linens are expensive but the paper sheets just really detract from the restaurant's appeal. They would be better off with no coverings on the table. Perhaps a minor complaint but I was irked that both the bread and the bruschetta only came with three pieces of bread. There were two of us - would it kill them to provide one more piece of bread so we didn't have to cut a piece in half? Considering the prices, they could be more generous. Finally, I was over charged for my meal. The menu listed chicken cacciatore at $28 but I was charged $30. I didn't want to create an issue over $2 but it was very annoying, especially given the rest of the subpar experience. I fear this might be the last time we visit Roberto's after being an occasional customer for 30 years.
An excellent choice, especially off season. The food, service, ambiance as usual were all awesome
Enjoyed an amazing anniversary dinner last night! Both service and food were exceptional. Cioppino and Lobster Ravioli were healthy portions and best tiramisu we've had in quite some time. Our server was very pleasant and did not rush us. Our first time and we can't wait to come back! Quite a good crowd for an off season Tuesday evening. Enjoyed the back room with a quieter window seat.
Sadly the food, although the ingredients were good, was bland and totally devoid of flavor. We ordered the clams casino- which were all breading, the Chopin o and requested extra garlic and the chicken rollitini. Portions were quite ample but so tasteless we both left the vast majority of the dinners. The hostess and server were both lovely. Just the food......
We were staying in Ogunquit 10/16 to 10/20/25. We ate at Robeto's 10/16/25 and we each had the sunset special which was very good and a good value. We chose to go to Roberto's again last night. My baked scallops were good but the topping made me cough so I couldn't eat it. I order Creme Brulee for dessert which was good. I took a photo of the dessert menu. We are back home now and I was looking at our receipts. Creme Brulee is $7.95 on the dessert menu. We were charged $9.00 for it! If I had known it was going to cost $9.00 I would have chosen a different dessert. I realize we were only overcharged by $1.05 but still I don't think it's fair that the price on the menu is less than we were charged!
The night I was there was very noisy. Even the waiter was apologizing although it wasn't his fault. I was happy to get out of there. My food was good, but could have been warmer when served.
We've been many times before and always enjoyed ourselves. This evening the service was particularly slow and both meals were sort of bland. It's been a few years since we've visited which left us wondering if there was a change in ownership. We'd go back again but if we had the same experience there are other places to try
Roberto's the our go to restaurant to have quality Italian food when we are in the area. Their service is excellent and the food is consistently great. The owner is present and very warm and friendly,
The music caught our attention and we are so glad we checked this place out. Couple Florida girls on a northern trip. Everyone was singing and having a great time. Tony (owner) and Alex (I hope I got that right) were awesome!! Our first night was a blast!! Thanks guys!!

Bar was Fabulous! Loved Jessica 🥰🥰 The food was very good . Portions were very nice . Service was also pretty good . We have been there before and always consistent and still in business !
Roberto's has become a tradition for birthdays and special occasion. Food is always good and the service is excellent. A Great place to take friends/family when they visit
We had the best time here on an unexpected stop during a road trip. After driving all day from Vermont on a road trip back to FL we stopped in this little gem and before we even got into the doorway we were greeted enthusiastically by the owner Tony. The waiter Johanna and Tony guided us on how to order our very first lobster roll. We spent the evening laughing and joking around with them. We felt like we were hanging with close friends, which was just what we needed to end a long day. Thank you guys!
Had a long day of driving and found this spot while staying nearby. Was greeted by the owner, Tony, before we walked into place. What a great time we had, Tony and the server, Johanna, were wonderful company and made great conversion. Very welcoming environment and great place. The lobster roll and haddock sandwich was perfect and overall experience will have me back there everytime im in Ogunquit!

Food was bland. Nothing special about the tomato sauce. Meh. Too warm inside, should have put on ac. Service was great.
