This was our first time here in 8 years since it changed from Maxwell’s to Pepper’s. Maxwell’s was a place we visited frequently when in Ogunquit, and we even had my 50th birthday there. We were very apprehensive about going to Pepper’s, and we did not know what to expect! Wow and cool were the first 2 words I thought of when we entered! The place we came to know and love changed, but it was a great change with an awesome bar! Then, we had some drinks, an appetizer, and then our food came. All of it was great, and all the servers and bartenders are wonderful! We definitely recommend the Firecracker Shrimp and Calamari for appetizers, and the whole belly clams and teriyaki tuna for main courses! Everything was fresh and delicious! We are looking forward to our next trip to Ogunquit, and Pepper’s will definitely be on our dining list!
Fantastic service, the staff is so friendly and my waiter Gretchen was extremely polite and friendly providing great service!

We stopped into Pepper’s for a quick bite to eat for lunch. We ordered steamers, mussels and the Perkins Cove lobster roll. The steamers and mussels were perfect and so delicious. The mussels had great flavor and the broth was top notch. The Perkins Cove lobster roll was a unique spin on a lobster roll, but was ranked at the top of the lobster rolls we ate all weekend - so consider that high praise. Would eat here again & the service was great!

Had an early lunch on their sweet patio on a beautiful Sunday. Service was friendly and spot on. Good beer selection. We had the maple blueberry bbq wings- huge and delicious. Also had the blackened haddock tacos. Fish was perfect. People seated next to us got the blackened haddock salad and my wife and I both wished we had ordered it. It looked fantastic. Inside of the restaurant is really cool. Very clean and great layout. The beer taps come out of outboard motors. Very cool. Will definitely be back!

Scallops and class batter fell off as soon as you touched them. Baked Haddock a bit dry but still very good. Excellent fries. Great service

The place is right on Hwy 1 and serves nice seafood. Our shrimp was well done and tasty. They have a great choice of beers. During the weekdays, the service was fast and staff are friendly. Definitely recommend. We tried tacos and they serve flour tortillas. Corn tortillas would have been even better.

We had a wonderful lunch there today. We sat outside on the cute street and enjoyed beautiful weather. Gretchen was our server, and she was very kind and helpful. They have an extensive menu of options and gluten free menu was wonderful too! Inside of the restaurant was a fun atmosphere, and it was very clean. We highly recommend for fresh seafood and great service.

The atmosphere and quality of food were great; however, I must issue a serious warning to those with food allergies. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff seems lax in handling allergy-specific requests. My daughter has a dairy allergy, and despite explicitly requesting a cold lobster roll without butter, it was served with butter. She consumed it before we realized the mistake. This is a serious oversight, and the kitchen needs better management and procedures when handling special allergy orders. I feel it's important to warn future patrons.

It was fairly busy but the wait for a drink was ridiculous. The onion rings were great but our seafood tasted muddy.

We went for dinner tonight with a group of friends, and for most of us, it was our first time. The online reviews were very positive, so we were excited. Everyone who had martinis raved about them, and my husband liked his rum punch. I started with the “buck a shuck” half dozen oysters, which were very fresh and delicious. My husband and I both had Maine Stuffed Haddock with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and it was very good. Others at our table had seafood pasta and taco salad with haddock, which they all raved about. Service was attentive and timely. We’ll definitely be back!
