Very authentic Thai food with fresh veggies. Easy to adapt a lot of menu items to be vegan.

The drunken noodles with chicken were perfect!

Two appetizers, four entrees, no dessert or alcohol and with tip and tourist tax (we are locals) we dropped 135.00. Yikes. Paid extra for chicken in the pad Thai but it was a treasure hunt trying to find any.
Food was decent but sticker shock, along with 12.00 an hour parking means this will probably be the only visit.

Long-time customer of Mekong Thai in kennebunk i've been going for 15 years. Occasionally, we go to Wells Mekong Thai location as well, so we decided to give So Zap a shot.

First, I'll say it's very overpriced, the menu is 30% more than similar restraunts. I paid $52 for 2 entrees and no appetizers. I would have ordered appetizers if they weren't $12+ each. (Also no appetizer combo)
Now, this pricing would be justified if they provide better food and portions, but this was not the case. The restaurant was dead too, not a customer in sight. Lady who took my order and cashed me out was very friendly.

Now for the really bad
Im 99 % sure the rice portions served were microwaved in a fold and close bag. Also the bagged rice only filled half the box so not enough for the entrees. See my images. You can see the steam formed inside the bag from microwaving it, and the plastic was like sealed closed from melting a bit.
Really disgusting, I don't understand why they prepped it ahead like this it's similar to what a chain restaurant like Tgi Fridays or something like that.
Gf was very upset about the rice bag situation neither her or I have ever had it comes like this. Also the lack of rice for her green curry. (Shrimp unpeeled) Now i have to make my own rice..

THIS IS NOT OK FOR $52 BUCKS PLUS TIP!
This is an upscale Thai restaurant in an expensive town. You can't serve rice in a baggie like that!
You can't charge more for an inferior experience.
Mekong thai has never cut corners like this. It's worth the drive just go there. (Especially Kennebunk)
2 stars because im feeling jolly this Christmas week but should be a 1

Sorry guys, get it together.

I like a wide variety of Thai restaurants. It is easy to eat vegan in a Thai restaurant. The food here seemed uninspired. Items looked good on the menu, but just weren’t as flavorful as I expected.

Meh. The food was ok tasting but nothing great. But for the pricing, we found the portion sizes very small, especially on app of fried spring rolls. At every other Thai restaurant we go to we either get 5 or 6 veggie rolls. While we waited we were debating if this place would be a 5 or 6 roll place. They delivered 3. And for a price that was the same that we pay for 6 elsewhere. Other dishes we ordered were also smaller than we have gotten elsewhere. Overall this was a disappointment and we will not go back.

The staff was nice but I can't say they were efficient. The atmosphere was ok, but the food wasn't good. My pad thai was tasteless and, frankly, too expensive. The other members of my party said their food wasn't as disapponting as mine, but they also didn't rave about it.

Had the seafood pad Thai. Seafood was undercooked and chewy. Not much flavor to the rest of the dish. Very dissapointed.

Ordered takeout. Have come here and ordered multiple times over the past few summers for the crab fried rice. Got home tonight and it had no tomatoes and the onions were hardly cooked making them very strong. Crab had many pieces of shells. Disappointed.
