The welcome was subpar. This morning, we tried to have breakfast at the surfpoint as a group of 7. The hostess (an old lady with grey hair and glasses) refused to sit us together even if the restaurant was empty. She was reluctant to sit us in the front with the view and again, the restaurant was empty. Overall, she was really condescending and kept rolling her eyes at us. No smile at all!

We have booked 3 rooms for 5 days and won’t be coming back to the surf point if this is how we are welcomed.

The waiter was nice though.

This place is all around terrible with the exception of the ambiance. My husband ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. When the food came (2 chicken Caesar salads), my husband was away from the table. I told the waitress he had ordered a Caesar Wrap and all she said was “oh” and then walked away. When she came back, my husband again told the waitress that he had ordered a wrap. She pulled out her notes and said “I wrote down salad.” She basically said, no that’s not what you ordered, like what? I’ve never had a situation where a waiter who brought the wrong food tries to tell you it’s your fault that she brought the wrong food. I asked her to bring us a side of fries to bring the salad closer to the original wrap order, thinking she would comp the side of fries. That seemed like the easiest solution and would have saved her tip. Nope, she made her inattention to detail our problem and charged us for the fries and the incorrect order. As if being told that it was our fault that she messed up the order wasn’t enough, the chicken on both salads was over cooked so badly that it literally turned into chicken crumbs in the salad. I’ve had dry chicken before but this was a whole different level. It was almost like the chicken had been cremated. On the up side, it was just lunch that we wasted time and money on so I guess that’s a plus. I feel sorry for the people who had to endure dinner here.

the waiter took forever to take our order and then our food took even longer to come. the restaurant was not crowded so that is not an excuse. we got sat for breakfast at 8:45 and did not receive our food until 9:45. this is unacceptable.

This place has so much potential but.... The view makes this place hard to resist but tonight was the last. Pretty empty for a beautiful night in July and I know why. The manager has changed the bar. Bad call. Drinks are just sugar and the move has been made to "tiny" tini's.
Most of the clients here are not driving anyway so I doubt it was a lawsuit that got them to make tiny drinks... instead it was profit. Well it's not going to work because business will suffer. Bring back the old bar manager before it is too late. Too bad because the food is up a notch.

I would like to inform anyone who is reading the responses that I am not and have never responded to a single review on Google or any other website in regards to Surf Point 360/Anchorage By The Sea.
I have repeatedly asked that their marketing team remove my name from the responses and they have never returned a single request I have made.

Please, if you’re considering applying to this corporation or property-do not.

This was and still is a nightmare! Horrible food, staff real nice, serious training issues. My card was charged 3x's & still trying to get my credit. OVER PRICED MICROWAVED FOOD. Call 5 times to get my credit card fixed, I have been told by the GM that this isn't possible. Well it is! Mistakes happen but don't act like it's my fault. Sweet waiter didn't know how the POS system works. He kept running my card. I am retired and can't afford this. I will never eat there again! Beautiful view though.

Eggs Benedict came out cold and undercooked to the point that the egg white was runny. The menu said it came with home fries but they ran out of home fries so they subbed tater tots without telling me. Everyone else in my party also had cold food and had the same issue with the home fries. Just a terrible experience considering how expensive the restaurant and hotel are.

Absolutely terrible. All food arrived late and cold. Salmon was sent back because it was undercooked after getting it over an hour after ordering and when they brought it back it, it tasted microwaved. Bill arrived with nothing removed, after speaking with them they removed the salmon and made no effort to make anything right. Do not recommend. Save your money and your time.

The service was so slow. We waited half an hour to check in for reservations, by the time we got to the host stand after waiting in the long line out the door and no room to get around, the host said he was trying to seat 8:15 reservations, and we were got there and had reservations for 7:45. The host was extremely disorganized. Once I flagged a manager, and finally was sat, it took 30 minutes plus to see a server, AFTER 20 minutes of waiting and going back to the host stand to ask if we had a server.

Finally when the server came, we placed drinks and food orders all at once, now being an hour after our reservation. It then took a subsequent 30 minutes for the drinks to come. Do not get the espresso martini, very watered down. Though, I’m suspicious it’s watered down for waiting up at the bar so long, because when we finally went up to the bar for a refill (after being empty for 15 minutes and no refill offer), it had ice and was much less water tasting.

Children everywhere. If you sit outside, be warned there may be soccer balls and footballs flying at you. They have a lawn area attached to the outdoor seating, and children run around unsupervised and screaming.

Also, if expecting seafood at a seafood restaurant, don’t. They were out of shrimp, scallops, steak and salmon. The chicken Parmesan was the most bland we’ve ever had, and the French fries were cold.

Even though we had four in our party, silverware and napkins (which were brought out two hours after sitting), were for three people…. We kept having to ask for another set of items.

When asking for the check, and requesting it be split in two, we were told “well you should have told me that at the beginning” and “I’ll do the best I can do”. We were made to feel like we were being difficult by asking.

I understand a wait, but this was the longest and most ridiculous wait for a prescheduled reservation. They were taking walk ins while still so poorly managing the tables they did have. We saw 7+ wait staff, so it’s hard to believe it was a staffing problem.

This was probably the worst restaurant experience of my entire life. The service was excruciatingly slow; it took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioner, and we were practically sweating buckets in the stifling heat. When our food finally arrived, it was not only cold but also completely inedible. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant, and the quality of service and food left much to be desired. I would strongly advise against dining here unless you enjoy wasting time and money on a disappointing meal
