We had a room in March 2023 adjacent to the front desk with slider door to the parking lot. There were no sheer curtains on the slider door which meant if we wanted daylight we had to open the darkening shades and expose the bedroom to the busy parking lot. There was no signage regarding resort amenities as most everything was closed off season. We were charged a daily “resort fee” of $20! I called the front desk after we returned home and was on the phone listening to a long BS Hogwash recording sensationalizing how wonderful the Meadowmere was! I don’t think so!

First family vacation with my two little ones ages 3 and 2 - we loved the resort, however both nights we stayed the fire alarm went off at 1 and 3 am waking everyone up and having two toddlers threw off our vacation both days. Having to cancel things because of lack of sleep for my toddlers. We were told everyone in the building would be compensated and they only waved the $40 fee ($20 a night) now mind you we had to cancel some of our vacation because of the lack of sleep for both toddlers. Very disappointed by this. Lack of parking is also another issue for this hotel which was disappointing. It wasn’t definitely not the vacation my wife and I were hoping for, for our first family vacation. The room was clean but that’s about the only good thing from our trip.

I’d suggest passing on this place. Pros - It was walkable to town and our rooms were clean. And we had no rain! Cons Rooms are super small and bathrooms are for elves. Front office staff are rude Breakfast is not free and it should be Every part of the resort feels cramped and claustrophobic Parking is a challenge Pool is meh This place was not worth the $$ unfortunately.

We were so pleasantly surprised. Wasn’t much left in town, we bit the bullet and hoped for the best. This place is old as many mention, but very well kept. Great location. If you like exercise, the gym is very large with lots of free weights. You do have to share with the locals as it’s the local health club, but not crowded. The rooms were clean and quaint. We had a spa tub, fireplace, and balcony.

The room was very small, so small the bathroom sink was outside of bathroom. The hotel resort is in need of updating and remodeling. The front desk service is not friendly. The spa is not a spa at all.

Awful, so many better places to stay in OGT that make you feel welcome when you stay. Room wasn't clean, front desk were rude, while I was checking in another older couple was complaining how the man at the front desk n name Shahara was extremely rude. Requested early check in told me that it was booking.com problem and our room isn't ready until 4. Told me my credit card was declining while it was processing...so i used another card...called us on my birthday morning to have us come back down to the front desk to use a different card, so we did ...again, vacation over, both cards were charged meaning the front desk has no idea what they are doing yet again. Property is okay. Stay somewhere else.

The room was nice and quiet and staff was very friendly and accommodating ! The location is awesome and is walking distance to the center of Ogunquit and marginal way. Tons of amenities. It was well worth staying here for our vacation even though the weather didn’t cooperate but hotel made up for the weather

Our smoke alarm was dripping brown water on the bed and management was not concerned. They acted inconveniencedby it .For over $500 a night they should have cared. Alarm went off at midnight. Coincidence?

Arrived 8/9 water was dripping out of smoke detector. Reported it to the desk and they removed the smoke detector and covered the opening with plastic. So we did not have a smoke detector which is not up to code. then in middle of night fire alarms went off. We have been waiting for call back from Ron and haven’t gotten it yet. We want compensation for the inconvenience

Just returned from a recent visit. Summary: Clean room at 4pm check-in and room cleaning occurred on 2nd night, front desk person was pleasant, we stayed in the building closest to the road (you will hear traffic-bring a noise canceling device), Kuerig Coffee maker in-room, common spaces on resort were clean. The on-site pub breakfast- $25.00 for 2 adults, not a bad price, but, not a great breakfast by any means (very limited self serve and toaster only 1 incredibly slow toaster oven). Resort is not “close” to the beach, trolley pick up to beach is $5.00 pp per trip or drive your car and pay $40.00 to park for day. Many amenities.

This was once our go to place but not anymore. The last few times we went something was always closed. the pub, hot tub, roman spa. They used to have breakfest but not anymore. it's not the same anymore.

How in the heck can you call a broken jacuzzi a "soaking tub". How long do you think you can fool people? Isnt this illegal? I paid for a soaking tub and got a broken jacuzzi being called a soaking tub? Like calling drug dealers unlicensed pharmacists. Lolololol!!! Meadomere is just a joke. The high star reviews are from previous years before it was sold. Look what it said on the theromstat. Didn't work when there and had to keep fireplace on all night. Also, trash barrels never emptied while we were there. What a joke.

The Meadowmere has drifted into in some ways into mediocrity in recent years. Don't book online, as the rates are usually wildly more expensive, especially on holiday weekends or weeks. The facility is aged, and it shows in the main building rooms- rusty sprinklers, water damaged walls, tiles, baseboards, AC units, wardrobes, to name a few. It still has a year-round jacuzzi, often crowded, an out of order Roman spa and pool, and coffee/tea bar, but aside from the location on Rt 1 and walking distance to Perkins Cove, it is not a great value. One of the biggest headaches was the intermittent internet. And unfortunately, Meadowmere has contracted their IT to a number who knows where. It is unreachable by the room phone, so you must use your personal phone to report an issue. Then of course, the IT guy wants your name, etc. See a pattern? Data mining... Of course they won't admit it, but that is the price of subbing out their IT work. The problem wasn't solved by the way. Intermittent internet is a deal breaker, and along with the aging buildings, short staffing (which everyone has nowadays), etc, the Meadowmere is no longer the top notch resort it once was. If nothing else, they haven't kept up with the maintenance and renovations needed, despite their relatively high occupancy rate and revenues. I hope they turn things around. The on site staff were courteous and capable.

Have had many years of great experiences at the Meadowmere. Gave my son a referral there and he booked a romantic night with his girlfriend. Booked a jacuzzi room and when they showed up jacuzzis are not operational, gave a fireplace room instead without informing them. They decided to go in the outdoor hot tub, was closed, indoor hot tub out of order. Jonathan's and many other restaurants in the area also closed for offseason. He described the experience as a big L. Save your money and book elsewhere!
