My children wanted to take me out for Mother's Day dinner. We could have gone many places but a friend of mine suggested China Garden and that the Chef/Owner Christine would prepare us "authentic prepared" Chinese food. We answered a few simple questions about food allergies and preferences then she prepared a wonderful family style meal for us. We had fried mushrooms, dumplings, fried rice, some eggplant, fiddlehead, chicken stir fry, broccoli pepper and seafood...
Ask for the authentic vegan meal ahead of time and Christine will make you a multiple course, amazing, tasty, and often seasonal meal. I have eaten at hundreds of vegan restaurants and few often the delicious selection of well-prepared and flavorful magic that Christine whips up.
Great food- we let the owner (who was very friendly and just interactive enough) decide for us and we were really pleased. We had several vegetarian dishes and one seafood. Everything was very good. Atmosphere is not great, but who cares with food like this! We’ll definitely be back.
