I have been going there for over thirty years. Never a bad meal. It's a completely different experience than the chain restaurants, and here is why. Reservations. They really need to get a good idea of how many are dining. This isn't the plastic chain restaurant where they slap a frozen factory cooked meal into the microwave. The chef obtains the best and freshest ingredients available. Your food isn't coming to your table in 2 minutes. There is an actual chef preparing an actual...read full review
1st time for dinner tonight on our 14th wedding anniversary and everything was amazing! All the food was fresh, piping hot, and well seasoned. From the stuffed mushrooms, to the French onion soup, Haddock Casino special, the cheesy potatoes (to die for), and the fresh veg, it was all delish. The service was spot on and personable and the atmosphere was wonderful as well! Can’t wait to return with our son…he will love it. Thanks for having us, we will be back.
We have been coming here for dinner for I think close to 40 years, maybe not quite that long, anyways we haven’t been since our favorite waitress Lena passed, we just weren’t ready. I do have to say she would of been pleased at how great the waitresses were tonight. Thank you for a wonderful evening out.

Maurice, a local restaurant, has garnered positive reviews from diners. The food is described as excellent, with a made-to-order scallop stir fry and a delicious Mediterranean Haddock praised. The restaurant also caters to gluten-free diners, offering many options. The service is noted as pleasant and courteous, with an attentive and efficient waitstaff. While one reviewer found an issue with the temperature of their meal, the overall dining experience is highly recommended, with reasonable prices and a comfortable, quiet atmosphere. The restaurant's desserts, such as the Chocolate Tort with Raspberry sauce, are also highlighted as magnificent.
The restaurant offers a completely different experience than chain restaurants, with reservations recommended to ensure the chef can obtain the best and freshest ingredients. The food is prepared by an actual chef, not just microwaved, and the staff takes pride in their work, providing professional and low-pressure service. Reviewers praise the cozy setting, excellent food, and well-seasoned, delicious dishes, including classic Maine seafood and excellent meats. The building may show some wear, but the decor and layout are nice, and the restaurant is a welcome addition to the area.
