It was my first time at the Carriage House, upon entering the doors, we stood there for at least five minutes without anyone acknowledging us. The servers walked past multiple times not looking at any of us or even attempting to give eye contact or to say that they would be with us soon. It took a lot not to walk out, feeling we were invisible. When we were finally seated our chairs were so rickety we thought we were going to fall to the floor it was so uncomfortable especially if your a taller person.
The server was very pleasant and I don't blame her for the long waits to get our drinks and our food order, that's on the bartender and the cooks.
I was looking forward to having the lobster roll special. When it arrived I was so disappointed, it looked like a child portion, it was served on a typical hotdog roll but it was only toasted on one side and I had one claw and a small amount of shredded lobster and the roll was only half full, it was about three bites.
The coleslaw was even smaller with two bite of that, and I had like 6 fries on my plate, needless to say It was more plate than food. I Know what do you want for 15.00 bucks. It was a laugh at our table.
I expect to be satisfied. This night was a waste of time and money. I will not go back. I can only hope they get better at pleasing their customers.
I suggest you try "Shain's of Maine" in Sanford you will be surprise at the lobster roll, fires and chowder you can get for less. $13.99

Slow service, I mean slow. Waited 45 minutes for sandwich and tacos. Not busy at all, seem to cater to the regulars.

We've tried to eat here twice. According to their website they should have been open, but it was deserted and closed up both times... So I'm guessing they are out of business.
On edit: Apparently not out of business but do not expect that they are open the days that Google says that they are open.

Small easy to overlook outside, with a minimal inside. You'll usually need a reservation, bit ordering takeaway is a fantastic option. Generous portions, good seasoning, and well cooked. Will happily be going

We went there with another couple and all of us had a bad experience. We heard so many people talking about it, we decided to give it a try. We tried to order drinks from the menu, but several items on there were not available. We had the same problem with the food menu. We might want to update the menus.Someone order the Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, looked and tasted like Alfredo sauce and hardly any Lobster. Another person ordered the Pork Chops menu said 2 when she received the plate only one. The waitress said that the Biggest one so only 1.The other person ordered Sheppards Pie which was in a hot plate which kept spinning he couldn't eat it.Another person ordered fresh fish baked , it was soupy and tasteless. We had to ask the waitress for tarter sauce.Probably will not go back even a free meal
