We’d had this recommended by several people ,so we tried it and we’re GLAD we did! The seafood chowder was a hit with my husband and I had the tuna salad plate . Food was fresh and flavorful (nice portion sizes) , very ,very good ! Staff was friendly and attentive . Price was reasonable . Atmosphere was nice. We LOVED that the music wasn’t blaring like in a lot of places . It was a pleasant dining experience and we’ll be back! :)

Had a nice meal, everything was well done and the service was good. The desserts were amazing, still thinking about the caramelized droplets of sugar on the meringue! Overall a very good first impression! Several others had recommended it to me and now I know why! The price was less than I expected for the three-course meal for two as well.

Stopped in and had lunch while visiting Eastport for the annual Pirate festival. The food was great! The service was fast and the waitress was friendly. I was surprised at the large serving size of our meals compared to the price. We definitely got our money's worth plus some.If passing through I would recommend the New Friendly Restaurant.

The experience would have been better, even with the 30+ minute wait (10+ before we were even spoken to by staff...) to be seated IF my Mom's $32 meal didn't come out burnt!! My Fiancée didn't come out all that good either!! Mine? Well mine was haddock and it was delicious!! But that still doesn't help the other 2 meals or the big bill we'd be more willing to pay if ALL the food came out so good!! We didn't complain, because they were busy and didn't want to wait another 45 mins for a new meal... The waitress we had, I do have to say, was fabulous!! She was great and a busy as they were, she stay very pleasant and polite!All in all.... will we go back? Sorry to say..... Probably not for awhile, if at all. Maybe we might try a call ahead meal, pick up, and bring home (after checking it)?

We stopped on on our return trip home up 1 North on our bikes. Friendly service, home made cooking, old school restaurant/diner feel. Our meals were very good. Totally hit the spot! P.S. we are sorry we brought all that water into the restaurant from our completely soaked motorcycle gear!

I was seated by the gregarious and bustling waitress, who was working alongside the manager and one young woman who seemed to be in training of some sort. The fried clam plate was excellent-a refreshing change from clam strips which were my luck, elsewhere in Maine. As I was again, the last one through the door before closing, the manager seemed happy to see me go-though the waitress was disappointed that I chose not to order dessert. I would gladly come back here again, though.

We stopped in for an early to go dinner. We really enjoyed the fried platter with haddock and scallops. Tip: order extra tartar sauce and park at nearby Gleason Cove for a lovely experience.

Amazing food, better people!! Even when two jerks walk in at 5 to close, the chef didn't bat an eye. Made sure we had everything we needed. Will always support these amazing hard working people! ♥

This time we had the fried chicken, Thai sweet chili chicken nuggets and poutine. Sorry to say, the fried chicken was so over fried it was too crunchy to chew and inside way too dry. The nuggets were drowning in sweet chili sauce. The poutine was ok. We'll stick to seafood if we go back. The servers are very hard working on these busy nights.
Had fried chicken breading was overdone for my liking chicken nuggets with sweet chili had too much sauce the poutine was good service is always good the restaurant is usually packed and the waitresses do a great job I will not let one subpar meal stop me from going back because their seafood is always excellent

It took an hour and 10 minutes to get two dinner plates and I had people that came in after us that got served before us that were regulars me and my wife both had the seafood platter all fry food it takes less than 3 minutes to fry everything but the server was good
