I dont usually review on the first impression but this place was phenomenal! Excellent service, outstanding food, flavored and cooked to perfection! Old style Maine turn of the century architectur with a down home feeling. Can't rave enough about the breakfast quesidilla and home fries! Thank you!

I ate there years ago and I still dream about their homemade ranch dip. I'm not typically a ranch fan but their's was outstanding. All others pale in comparison. The rest of the meal was pretty great too. We went back a few more times that year and we live 100+ miles away.

So impressed with the food, service, and family friendly atmosphere. Tammy, our waitress, was welcoming and friendly. She greeted us with a smile and warm welcome. The appetizers and main dishes were spot on! We typically eat in Portland ME and I would say that this dinner was easily one of my favorites! Well done! I've eaten at Vittles many times over the past 10 years I've lived in the area. My favorite lunch dish is probably the shrimp wrap and the homemade chips are delicious! The staff is always kind and attentive! Highly recommend if you're in the area!
Family friendly, games to play as a family or alone. Wonderful service with servers who treat as if you are family. Dog friendly whole family will enjoy a dining experience with the small home town vibe. ❤️

I was traveling from Canada to Maryland and stopped in for breakfast as reviews were great. It wasn’t even noon yet and they said no breakfast now. Disappointed! I wanted to leave but hubby didn’t. I wasn’t in the mood for sandwiches so I orders the New England clam chowder. Worst ever unfortunately. Too rich and did not have much flavor. Server asked if she could box it up and I said no. She couldn’t understand so I frankly said I’m afraid it was too rich and I couldn’t eat it. She was indignant and argued with me. No apologies, no can I get you something else? I left and my husband paid. High bill for quality of food. Worst part, about an hour later I got terrible diarrhea. Avoid this restaurant.
