A favorite seafood place has changed ownership. Disappointed to see it change hands as menu is more pub style. A few seafood dishes remain but lobster, clams and scallops are no more. Craft brewery ownership now serves only its own beers, although many are quite good. The food is still fine but not at the quality it used to be. Pricing is on the upper end for pub style. Wish the new team well but will definately miss the original.

Hands down just NASTY and NOT WORTH THE $$$ for Fried Food. Let's not forget to mention the $87.00 + to be served food on paper plates and paper cups. In addition to getting FOOD POISONING after eating rotten Dripping in Grease Fried Clams.A bit low class for the High $$$ spent for garbage simply fried foods. Please don't waste your time or energy. Try place/Restaurants downtown Portland. Where Class really stands out.

We stopped in to Cyndi's Dockside knowing that it had been bought out by Nonesuch Brewery. We have always enjoyed Cyndi's food and staff. We were curious on what changes might have taken place. First when we arrived, there was no one there on a Friday evening which was surprising. It was always packed with happy smiling people when we went in the past. The food was still good. We were told the menu would be changing to be the same as the Scarborough location which concerned us as that menu is good but expensive for what you get. What surprised us was the unprofessionalism of the Waitress/Bartender that night. One, she stood about 6 feet away from us to get orders or checking in on us, like we had the plague. Two, she didn't stop talking for two seconds and it was noticeable because she was loud. Three, the topic of her conversation with a bar customer was not a topic for people who are trying to eat their dinner. She was discussing issues with a dog daycare, where her dog got sick and had "green buggers coming out of his nose, had bad diarrhea and vomiting". Four, she dropped the "F" bomb. Five, she was rambling on about the establishment who wouldn't spend the money they should for t-shirts and hats, etc.If this is a common occurrence, then I understand why there were very few customers.

Well, having had a lovely experience at Cyndi's a couple of years ago, we brought my son and his partner who were visiting us from Utah down this evening to give them the experience of a lobster dinner. The menu looked strangely barren, nothing at all like the one online. To our chagrin, we found out that the restaurant had been sold and was no longer Cyndi's Dockside but rather "Nonesuch River Brewery." And lobster (which you used to be able to select out of a tank, and which was part of the fun) was nowhere to be found on the menu. They were able to provide me with a lobster roll on special, (with mayonnaise instead of drawn butter sadly,) but it was not terrible. The rest of the food our party ordered was well prepared and tasty, and the portions were abundant, but it was just not what we were expecting. If I were to buy a restaurant, the very first thing I would do is get onto Google Maps and change the name and make sure the menu was up to date, as well as making sure the signage outside reflected the change of ownership. While we had a good meal, the contrast between expectation and reality was stark. Our dinner was just fine, but it wasn't Cyndi's and we're not likely to go back because it's just another brew pub now. Whatever bean counter was in charge of the transition was clearly not thinking the details through.
Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten-free buns for their sandwiches.

Very nice food and service. The waitress was nice and checked on us 3 or 4 to see if everything was OK and to see if we needed anything

Sweet dockside restaurant with amazing lobster rolls. Eat outside though, inside is kinda dated. Outside is gorgeous!

Under new management and seams to be getting away from lobster and steamers, only complaint I had about our visit was the steak tips were pretty rough( lack of flavor and probably the chewiest tips I've had especially at 28 bucks for an 8 ounce

Best haddock sandwich I’ve ever had. The mashed potatoes tasted good as well. Was very pleased with the portion size of my meal. Building is clean and the staff was friendly. Thank you.
Had dinner here with a party of 16. Food and service were very good. Had to wait about 25 min even though we had a reservation but that is to be expected . Recommend the lazy man's lobster pie!
