So we came in and the hostess kept eyeballing us like she didn’t know what she was doing, sat us at a bench table , the table was all sticky, the waiter came over and if I knew his name , I would of put a complaint about him. We ordered drinks, he came back to take our order and my wife has celiac disease, ( which means she CANNOT have gluten or dairy) my wife asked him if the fries were fried in the same metal strainer with everything else and he said yes. When she said she has celiac disease and can’t have gluten, he replied he didn’t know what that was and you tell me what you want. That threw a red flag up to her like your people were not educated on gluten free food, so she told me to order. I asked him I could get the steak bomb sub with no onions or peppers just mushrooms and cheese and mayo. He cut my off and said, no modifications, it’s too busy. I was so mad. I ordered a burger and fries and my wife had to sit there with her jacket on and not have anything. It was a disgrace, the only reason we didn’t get up and leave it’s because my wife told me not to make a scene and she could have something when she gets home. Sarges definitely needs to coach there staff a lot better on their manners as well as knowledge on gluten sensitivity.. This place was a joke. Never coming back !!!

This past weekend 10/11/24 my family and friends were visiting sarges for lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quite quickly. A waiter greeted us and my sister immediately told him that she had a gluten allergy. She asked how some of the meals were prepared and he told her i don't even know what a gluten allergy is. She then began to ask if he could ask the cooks if it would be ok to have substitutions or modifications to accommodate her so she could eat. He seemed very annoyed, told her they were to busy for that. Then began to tell her they had gluten free rolls. First of all how are you in the service industry and not know what a gluten allergy is. It's only been a common issue for a decade. He made her feel unwelcome and she sat there with no options while others ate. Your wait staff should never make customers feel like they have no alternative. The food that was delivered to the rest of the table was good. But the experience of eating there and witnessing how she was treated was a complete let down.

never have been treated more rudely than the staff here at this "establishment". You could smell the stale beer as soon as you entered the place, smelled worse than a frat basement. I dont even think they've mopped since opening, you stand without moving your feet and the floor claims your shoes. The food was horrible as well, i bet the cardboard box would have tasted better than the pizza. And the beer tap lines haven't been cleaned in years... left a full beer and got a bottled beer instead because it had who knows what floating around in the glass.

Probably the worst experience of my 54 yrs of life. I should’ve turned around and walked out …..I walked in and it smelled as if someone had either vomitted or I don’t know…..the funk was terrible!! No toilet paper in the bathrooms that also smelled like they hadn’t been cleaned in years!!!! Waited for over 15mins for a glass of wine, which came after my meal!!!!! Never agsin,……NEVER! This place sucks!!!

Do you want to be promised food, a section of tables, and a great night for a wedding, and then get none of that and instead get rudely spoken to by the manager, have the manager talk crap about your party to the staff, and then have the townies try to fight you??? Then this is the place for you! Terrible bar, terrible customer service, terrible management, 0/10 overall experience.

Wow, wow, wow!!!!!! What a place to go if you want to be made fun of by the owners and bar staff to your face. OR even better getting your hair ripped out, face scratched and earrings ripped out all for standing up for your best friend who was simply just trying to enjoy her WEDDING night. Literal disgusting hole in the wall. Garbage bar. Customer service 0/10.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. I had Sarge’s Smash Burger and it did not disappoint. The server was fast and took care of everything. We will be back next time we’re in Rangeley.
One of the worst experiences I’ve had. Staff was very rude, place smelled of dirty shoes and stale beer. We’re supposed to have a private room for our party but upon arrival the only tables open were filled with half empty pizza boxes and tables that haven’t been wiped down since the day they opened. If I could give 0 stars I would. If you are in the area and want a place to enjoy karaoke and good drinks I recommend elsewhere.

Honestly the wrst service Ive ever had in my life. The karoke acoustics were so loud and horrible, the mic kept giving feedback and even though the place is huge you still couldnt find anywhere to be without feeling as though your ears were being assaulted. The woman running karoke was rude to us and seemed drunk. Bartenders ignored everyone from our party despite having been given notice and a large deposit for our own server and space. One of the regulars tried to attack a member of a party. I could go on but its not worth my time. Dont go here on a Saturday night unless you want your ears to bleed. If negative stars were a thing I'd give this -5 stars. One is too generous.
