My family has been coming to Rangeley for 25+ years and we always make it a point to visit Red Onion several times during our vacations. This is a warm, local restaurant. It’s especially wonderful during ski season when you want a hot bowl of their famous chili. You can’t go wrong here.

We came here to try it out, since the last time I was here was when I was young. I didn’t really remember what it tasted like. I ordered the chicken parmigiana and my partner ordered the Mediterranean pizza. The chicken was great, and they offered to add Italian sausage for $4.00, so I did. This is where they lose a star, because for $4.00, I was expecting dinner sausage. They gave me little pizza sausage mixed in with the pasta and sauce. It was pretty good, just not the good...

The owners are so kind and the food is high quality, the kitchen is clean and well maintained. I have never had a negative experience, only positive experiences it will be back before they close. Rangeley will sorely miss this staple!
