We rented this place for a wedding reception upstairs. Amazing space. Prompt communication. They were able to accommodate on a short notice.

Pretty cool place aside from the judgmental regulars and unhappy bartenders. Food is good though

First time ordering a couple months ago called up and asked to place a take out order and was told that they aren’t doing take out orders and was hung up on. Recently I called they hung up then I called again and someone answered very rudely “old goat” told me 30 minute wait and was longer. I asked specifically for a NOT burned quesadilla for my two year old son and was told she would do what she could. Clearly she didn’t because I got a very burned very hard quesadilla with spicy cheese in it for my two year old. Also ordered two paninis and not anywhere on the menu does it say the sandwich included tomatoes and both of them came with tomatoes on them. As said in another review you can get better food and cheaper at exit 43 gas station up the road! Would not recommend.

Got there an hour before closing and the kitchen was closed already on a Friday night! The website needs to be updated reflecting their hours so people don't drive 30 minutes to eat and get turned away. Very disappointed to say the least!!!
Not many options for picky eaters. I had the Cheese Flatbread which was great. Beers were cold and service was good.

This place has the worst vibe. Walking in here you feel like you just trespassed onto a private gathering. By both patrons and staff alike. I've gotten a warmer welcome at the DMV. You would think if someone comes into your business offering to pay you for a service you provide that you might be somewhat friendly to them. In America at least (maybe not in France or Russia, or other snobby or downtrodden countries). It's Richmond, Maine for God's sake. Not to mention the overpriced, under impressive food. 13 bucks for a store bought sausage on a soggy store bought roll? The food at Exit 43 is so much better, the staff is normal and friendly, and the prices are much cheaper. Maybe the goat likes to think it's the local version of Cheers or something, except I don't remember anyone at Cheers sizing up customers as they walk in. The drunk cow hands at the bars in old western movies were more friendly. Clearly the goat has enough regular customers to keep them in business. Maybe they should close their doors to the public and only let their pals in. Save the rest of us from wasting our time and money. They shouldn't have the word Public in their name. Pubic maybe.

Great pizza and beer selection. Local pie shop with friendly staff.
Personal favorite is the margarita pizza with sausage. Crust is fantastic.
Great little outside patio with Cornhole setup.
