Use to visit as a child 35yrs ago and figured I would stop in for old time sake. The place has same candy counter and all same candy I remember. A large portion of the candy you can not find in a regular store so was such an experience to be able to buy childhood sweets. The staff was so nice and friendly, even showed me a photo of the original ladies from the days I would shop the glass display of candies. If you want to a breath of fresh air from your past of any decade before the mid 80's this is the place.

Cute little store that has candy, treats, ice cream and memorabilia. We got a cribbage board in the shape of Maine made from an old church pew. So special!
Kid-friendliness: The workers were so nice and helpful even though we had no idea what kind of ice cream we wanted. When my son ordered a rootbeer float with mint chocolate chip icecream she did not bat an eye. He loved it I was like no!!!
I can’t believe that this landmark is still there I were here in the late 90s and it was awesome from the photos it looks like the same ladies running the place! Nothing changes in Maine unlike Florida!!
