So I saw your post on Facebook call is the photo I posted sounded awesome so I get together some family members made reservations for 1 o’clock. we get there get seated mind you nobody said nothing to us at this time about the items being gone.We go up to start getting our food. There’s no veggies at all. No rice pilaf everything in the warmers was cold. We asked the waitress about this. She told us she’s not the owner and there’s nothing she can do. I will never go back to that place. I will tell everybody anytime I talk to them about how bad it is so disappointing and they get and $35 per meal.

Some ups and downs... today I came in with another person and we both had the lunch buffet. We got there at 12noon. The dining room had 2 other tables filled, so not too busy. Being that lunch started at 1130, I assumed this would be a good time to come in. There are 5 sections in the buffet table. Their buffet options change daily. Today they have baked ziti, lasagna, meat loaf/Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, chicken Alfredo tortellini, and plain ziti with either meatballs or sausage. The good: everything was hot, and the young man who waited on us was kind and made sure we never ran out of water. The bad: the baked ziti was like mush. And it tasted off, like maybe someone forgot to drain the oil off the meat. I almost burnt my hand on the handles of the serving spoons. The meat loaf had a nice flavor, but was mush. All in all, I'd go back and give them a second chance. Hopefully it's better the second time around.

When they first opened I thought the food was fantastic with huge portions. It has gone so far downhill that I will not return. I ordered takeout the other night. It cost me over $30 for my meal. Pasta and meat only. Not even bread on the side. It was flavorless and the veal was very tough. I keep attempting to try them again in hopes that it will be like before. Not anymore.

We ordered chicken parm and it was huge, and had to take most home and it was delicous, and great as a left over. The portions are tremendous so you should split the meal unless you're really hungry or want left overs! The service was really good as well. The Greek salad was amazing as well and the Chianti delicious! The resturant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Plenty of free parking as well.

We had a party of 9 for a birthday dinner. It was our first time coming here. The portions are plentiful and there's an option for "sharing" for an additional $7. I inquired about that and what they do is, the chef separates and divides the entree's in half then adds some more to each. If there's anything you want to share I would definitely recommend doing that. It'd be well worth the money and it's more economical for anyone who is trying to curb their spending! That's what I plan on doing the next time I get to dine in there.

Parking: Plenty of parking available when I went and there's handicap parking available too.

The Puttanesca came hot, fresh, and was absolutely delicious. It was also an exceptionally large portion which could easily be split between two people. There was definitely something off about the atmosphere because upon walking in I feared the worst and was worried I was walking into mediocrity. Was pleasantly surprised. Based on other reviews, we must have gotten lucky with service the night we went. Regarding service I have no complaints, but I will add that we were the only people in the entire restaurant.

For xmas last xmas, we gave family gift certificates to Amore. Previous year we did it at another local restaurant and had so much fun and the opportunity to get together as a whole at least once a year. My wife and I had experienced Amore once before and was floored by the quantity and goodness of the food. Tonight was no exception. 10 of us gathered there and had the most fantatic waiter,,,,MOE. He is a hustler. He was everywhere and covered our every need. Highly recommend everyone should give them a shot "On the Marsh in Scarborough , Maine. Only complaint would be that drink prices seem a little high........if you drink..

Edit: I spoke with Jess today and she took care of the automatic gratuity added and was extremely nice and helpful. Refunded the 18%. She stated that it is the computer system that adds it but was more than happy to figure a way to rectify the issue. As I stated below the food is good!Thank you!Food was good but ordered takeout on the phone and was never told that they add an AUTOMATIC 18% gratuity to ALL orders. I feel like they are taking advantage of the patrons as some people may not know that they are being charged 18% tip and there is a spot to add an additional tip. Double dipping at the customer’s expense. I asked about it and was told it’s the computer system and there’s no way for them to take it off. And there was no one to speak to about it. Will not be ordering from here again. The response from the owner is false..No manager spoke to me or took care of the ridiculous 18% charge on a takeout order…

2 Titos vodka with soda and a splash of cranberry. $28.00 REALLY!!! Asked for and paid the 1$ up charge for angel hair pasta with bolognese sauce. (Still got the linguine) There was plenty of food, a bit on the salty side, the server was pleasant. We will probably never go back. Certainly wouldn't order Titos and soda. Must have been a very inexperienced bartender!

Our waiter was wonderful and attendant. Nice view of the salt marshes and the dining room had a clean posh look with white tables cloths and comfortable seating. The food was delicious and huge helpings. I brought mine home and got 2 more meals out of it. Will definitely recommend this place!

I'm impressed. This place opened just before the pandemic, and they made it work! It's charming and the food is good. They've adapted, changed, and made it work. They really don't have much in the way of options for me, since I'm vegan, but that's not their problem. I was able to work something out, and it was fresh, delicious, and the service was great.

Bob is an amazing person. Not only did his food bring warmth to my body, he brought warmth to my soul with his heart to heart conversations. He gave one of our friends a free meal. In the middle of closing up he took out the equipment for us and cooked us up some of the best quesadillas I’ve had in a while. And after finishing gave us waters for the road. One of the greatest experiences I’ve had in Maine.

It’s Mother’s Day. We were going to order takeout. We called right at 4 when they opened. I asked to place an order for pickup. I was put on hold and after about 10 minutes of being on hold I called back. When they answered I told them I was left on hold and no one got back to me. She was very apologetic. I told her I wanted to place an order. She said hold on and placed the phone down. Didn’t put me on hold. She asked someone if they were doing take out orders. The response was, “Oh my God! Absolutely not!!” She came back on the line and I let her know I heard what was said. Not so much what was said but the attitude. I get it. Covid has killed restaurants and there is a labor shortage. All you needed to do was NICELY say you weren’t doing takeout. And it’s not just this one time. Very poor management. We gave them chance after chance. Never again. I MISS ANJON’S!!

Came as a group of six for prom with a reservation. Sat immediately, waited 40 minutes, asking multiple employees, just for water. Waited over an hour and a half for food, and had to walk out to make it to prom. Never even got bread. Waitress seemed drunk. Worst experience ever. About to pay $20-$35 a plate for this, never. Awful

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I was extremely disappointed. We got there at 7 and the woman who sat us made such a stink about how they were closing and we needed to order immediately if we wanted something. She kept saying we beat her to the door before she could lock it. Online it said they were open til 9 so not sure what happened but she wasn’t inclined to tell us either. Then we were seated and another woman came over to ask for our order, she was very friendly and super nice, we asked if we could have just two seconds to look over the menu and she said sure fine. She made it maybe 10 steps away from our table when the blonde haired lady who sat us, snapped at her saying, “NO THEY NEED TO ORDER NOW!” So the waitress came back and apologized profusely that she was instructed she needed to take our order immediately if we wanted to eat. We asked about the pizza that they advertise and were told no there was no pizza that night. We just ordered appetizers. The food was okay but the overall experience with the blonde woman made me extremely uncomfortable to the point where I will not be back. I’ve never been treated like that and it was really a shame because I had been looking forward to trying your place out. Such a shame really! I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt that you should be made aware of this.
