Nonesuch River Brewing Reviews
We stopped here after my husband a job in Scarborough, and wow… what an incredible surprise. The whole place has that true Maine vibe — cozy, welcoming, and super friendly. Our server Eric was awesome from start to finish.
My husband ordered the pork schnitzel and absolutely loved it. I had the butternut squash linguine with prosciutto, roasted squash, arugula, and their homemade crostini bread… incredible. I even saved half so I could enjoy it again another day.

Nonesuch has been one of our favorite sports since it opened. This evening we had a party of 12 for my son’s 8th birthday (his choice of location). Nonesuch River Brewing offers an enjoyable atmosphere, great service, and delicious food, along with a variety of beverages. The building space is clean and roomy, with mountain-like decorations and wooden beams. The beer quality is stellar, with a wide selection to choose from, including the crisp and clean Coffee Lager and the spectacular stout. The food menu is creative, freshly prepared, and features great flavor combinations, with recommended beer pairings. The staff is quick, friendly, and efficient, providing exceptional service. The restaurant is very kid-friendly, with attractive indoor/outdoor seating and fun features like crayons that don’t roll off the table. Customers appreciate the food, especially the beer battered Haddock, which was very tasty, and the fried onions served with a perfect aïoli sauce, which was above and beyond the taste of fair. The menu also includes favorites like Poutine, Brussels sprouts, and buffalo wings with dry rub, which many recommend. The beer selection includes helpful details such as ABV and IBS listings, making it easier for guests to choose. The place is easy to find with ample parking and offers vegan and vegetarian options, as well as beer flights. While some dishes like fried chicken may be bland, overall, visitors find the experience pleasant and worth the wait. The online menu is kept up to date, helping customers plan their visit, and many enjoy the fun specials and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
